I'll throw another name that people might be overlooking - Emmanuel Stewart. Cotto already has a hell of a jab, maybe Stewart can make him actually use it effectively for an entire fight. anh..hoya...hahahahaha

Yeap, he has. Na men, Miguel was the one to lbame, for their incident. They where argumin about some family matters, and Cotto eain the dick he is, he started talkin like he was donald trumph or something and told Evangelista, fukk you and the boss around here and all kind of stuff. Evangelista took Cotto to another level, look how shitty he have looked since he left Evangelista. Gassing, ealier, trying to be a boxer he aint and all that stuff. People can say anytihng about Evangelista, but he is a world class trainer!!! The prolem was, that Evangelista did had the guts to tell Cotto things, but Cotto is a stubborn SOB. Like I said if he doesnt Corect that attitude problem he is done as a elite fighter! Well if it was family matters, Cotto had the right to get pissed, but he shouldn't have dumped Evangelista either.

HELL NO. mayweather sr. SUCKS. his personality especially. look how many times he was late for hatton's camps. he has no sense of responsibility. FREDDIE ROACH MUST BE COTTO'S COACH.

I don't think Floyd Sr. is the answer because Cotto is not really the type of fighter that would benefit from Mayweather Sr.. He is not a defensive minded fighter and never will be so trying to rework that would take a very long time, really who could stand Mayweather Sr. long enough to really complete that task. Mayweather Sr. would be a good guy to talk to and maybe bring in to help work on Cotto's defense maybe teaching him a couple tricks that certainly could not hurt (although who could work well with Mayweather Sr. except maybe Jeff Mayweather), but I do not think he would be good for Cotto as the head man. Off the top of my head I can not really say who would be good for him, and no matter who it was Cotto would have to be devoted to the man's cause because a trainer can only set someone on the path and keep them on that path, but they can not make someone believe what they are saying if the fighter does not want to believe in it.

No way Jose. Cotto needs some one to teach him discipline unlike Santiago. Cotto won't mess up with Roach he's too well known. Mayweather wasn't even on time for some of Hatton training. Plus Roach will protect Cotto from further harm so he can live to fight another day. He will protect him before and after the fight. Just like he protected Gerry Penalosa from more damage. He's very honest thats what I love about him. and he really cares about his fighters. He gives pac credit for being a known figure, but Cotto better act quick, because Roach isn't as healthy as before. He can't go on training fighters forever. And just Maybe Santiago will gain some needed experience.

And thats why he have had this set backs in his career! He wont respect anybody, thats teh problem. People lame Evangelista for their inccident, ut the people here in PR, knows it was Cottos fault, because he thinks too high of himmsel, to let anothe man take charge. I he doesnt correct that, he is done as a elite fighter Yea, it's easy to see he has an issue with authority. Although I'm still not convinced the incident with his Uncle was his fault. I think Evangelista seems like just as much of a stubborn asshole haha. But either way...Cotto's been surrounded by yes men. He needs someone with the balls to stand up to him. But even then, I don't know if he'd change. I can see him just nodding his head and continuing to do his own thing. It's frustrating.

Yea, I agree with Natas. He would try and make Cotto into something he's not. Cotto's not far away. There are a few fairly minor adjustments he can make that would make a significant difference in his game. Roach or Nacho would be great for Cotto. I think they would command the kind of respect needed. Cotto's definitely a stubborn asshole, but I don't think he's crossing Roach or Nacho.

Cotto doesn't respect ignorant people. Therefore he'd never pick Sr. as his trainer. Puerto Rican fans hate the Mayweathers as much as the Filipinos do, so there's that too.

I actually think thats a great idea because I honestly think that Senior has been humbled. I mean the dude lost the chance to actually be called maybe the best of our generation. I mean he could right now be training guys like his son, Chad Dawson, and so on. Instead he ruined all those relationships. Then you have a guy like Hatton who might not have listened to him all the way but he's going to get the blame for that. You also dont lose a guy like Dawson who has mad talent and was on the way up. Then he's back in good with Junior now and will be a big part of this fight but the major credit will go to Roger. I think all that has humbled him and if he gets one more shot at a big time fighter then he will try to do it right and not make it all about himself. I dont think he would make the kid wait like he did Hatton and so on. I think him & Cotto would be great together because both have been humbled and want to make a comeback and both are talented enough to do it
