Miguel Cotto believed he was the stronger, better fighter and he would be able to back up Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao stood toe to toe with "Fearless" Miguel Cotto. Pacquiao taunted Cotto as he dared him to keep hitting him in the body. After 2 knockdowns midway through the fight Miguel Cotto began running. BLATANTLY. To the point where Pacquiao held his arms to his side in disappointment. Cotto also asked his trainer to stop the fight after the 11th round. Quitting yet again. His trainer Joe Santiago urged him to persevere for 3 more mins and finish with dignity but when the bell for the 12th rd started it was clear Cotto had already checked out mentally.

Cotto was the one telling hes corner he wanted to keep on fighting after they would say they were going to stop it after 1 more round you ****ing fool.

give cotto a break. he was getting his azz kicked, trying to survive. i admit he wasn't trying to win but to say he quit is a disservice to him as a man.

He didn't quit, dude. His corner wanted to stop the fight several times, especially after the 11th, but Cotto told them not to. He was just trying to box intelligently towards the end, but to no avail. If you're going to shit on a fighter for running or quitting, I can think of a dozen others you should target before setting your sights on Miguel. (Junior Witter, Nate Campbell, Victor Ortiz, etc....)
