Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jnr - Who Wins?

Floyd by wide UD. But it would make my year if Im wrong and Pac puts him out. I just cant see it.

floyd says that...but he also said that boldo and gatti were tough fights...which they clearly weren't...he said he tried...but if you think that's all he can do when "trying"...he's got you fooled...floyd is an extremely cautious fighter...so much that he won't even throw if he doesn't think he can hit you flush...but when you are scared to even throw a punch like marquez was after round 7...mayweather not going in to finish you is more than mercy...after their exchanges...after mayweather stuck marquez and marquez retreated...mayweather did not follow him...he didn't throw any combos...he could have...but he didn't...if marquez backed up too much...mayweather wouldn't follow and would wait for marquez to attempt to exchange again before countering and making him reset...that doesn't sound like trying to ko someone...he didn't even try to exchange after he knocked him down in the second round... Mayweather didn't throw combos against Marquez because like you say, he's a very cautious fighter, he didn't want to get caught with a counter. The difference you have to remember is that Pacquaio's punch output is much higher than Marquez, so while that will give Mayweather plenty of opportunity to counter, it'll could also mean he'll be extra cautious and less offensive.. Pacquiao's high punch output might give the impression he's winning, even if he's missing a lot.

Pacquiao will get a UD in my opinion. It's conceivable that he could stop Mayweather. My logic: Mayweather will be going backwards most of the fight. Yes I know Floyd will be boxing and landing counterpunches but Pacs volume and forward agression will carry it. It could look a little like Hagler and Leonard. The difference will be that Pac is lightning fast and has that weird angle thing going. Hagler just plodded. But I see Floyd doing a similar thing like Leonard did. Try to win last 30 seconds of the round and get the round. The weird angles will be his key to getting through Floyds defense. How do you train for Pacs angles/speed??

I'm undecided on the final outcome of the fight, just wondering if he could actually KO Pac. I do think he was genuinely trying to KO Marquez, why would he say "I was trying to knock him out" in interviews after the fight.. I would say Mayweather is favored for the decision just due to his pot shotting style but Pac is the best at surprising people with what he can do. The outcome of the fight wouldn't shock me if it goes either way unless either gets blown out early.

Floyd by UD or late TKO if it gets tough... The bizarre angles of Pac's punches will keep Pac in the fight... Floyd is good at making you fight his fight...if that happens Pac isn't winning co-sign!!!!:boxing:

Even though Floyd could neutralize Mannys speed, He wont figure out those weird angle shots of Pac. He will make him fight.

do you really think that mayweather was actually trying? he showed marquez a lot of mercy by not pressuring him in the second half of that fight...if he wanted...he could have easily walked marquez down and beat him in the face at will...marquez dropped his hands and his defense was finished after the 7th... mayweather is a strange person in the sense that i think he gets enjoyment out of simply outboxing you...he did that with hatton...easily toyed with the man from the 3rd round out...but hatton would not leave him alone with that rough housing...but if you looked at how he did it...mayweather probably planned that punch to ko hatton rounds in advance... and i'm not saying that he can ko pacquaio...all i'm saying is that you should give floyd a lot more credit...him at 100% is a dangerous thing for anyone... The fight should be at 147, because Mayweather will come in at that regardless of any catchweight, but Manny should come in at 144/145 for that little bit more speed. Saying that though i think Mayweather is faster and clearly Manny did not enjoy chasing Miguel Cotto round the ring for 6 or so rounds in the 2nd half of their fight. Mayweather will do that for the whole duration of their fight so i'm picking Mayweather by some form of decision based on the fact that he won't engage in much action. I think it could turn out to be quite a boring fight actually.

i see floyd winning by ud, all manny's fights at welterweight were against people that are mainly attacking fighters which gives manny a chance to get his shots in but against a defensive genius like floyd it would be much more difficult to get all these cleans shot that he had got in against his last 3 fights.

I think Mayweather starts running like Cotto did around the sixth, avoids the KO and Pac wins a comfortable decision.

I think Cotto's styl;e was more dangerous for pacquiao and look what happened last night. Pacquiao to make Mayweather his bitch. I.e this fight will never happen.

This fight should happen at 147 not 145.. fukk these catchweights. Yeah but I thought 145 would be more likely.. Yeah I'd prefer it at 147 too, but it's more likely at 145 I think.. then again, with the backlash Team Pac been getting about the catchweights, they might take it at 147, try and prove a point..
