The Official "Joseph Agbeko vs. Yohnny Perez" Discussion Thread!

I didn't score the fight but there were a lot of close rounds the judges obviously favored Perez's style so if the judges favored what Perez was doing most likely he was getting the nod in the close rounds. I think a rematch would basically be the same fight which is not that bad, but I would also like to see both men fight different guys then come back to this rematch. These guys could fight 100 times and they would all be good close fights I reckon. I agree with the bold. But, overall a very good post.

why take a dangerous rematch. montiel,sidorenko, or abnare mares would be bigger money fights and less risk. agbeko must get back in line. of coarse boxing fans want rematch Are you not a boxing fan? :lol1: Damn right we want a rematch! The beginning was very close, but the middle of the fight were all rounds were the rounds were clear for whoever won that round. The last two were pretty close, 12th could have gone either way I think. I just can't say a fight that evenly contested can be scored that wide on the scorecards. By the beginning I assume you mean the first 3 0r 4rds. Rd 9 was pretty close. The last 2 were close. All I am saying that is 6 or 7 rds that could of gone either that both fighters could have a solid claim of winning those rounds. Now what if those judges felst that all those rounds Perez won. Or lets say they gave all them Agbeko. Then I could how they could have a wide decision. If that makes any sense. I think it was close. But, at least 5 of those could go either way...

Something absolutely needs to be done about boxing judges. There is absolutely no way I can imagine that either fighter can be considered the winner by that big a margin. How many of those rounds were close enough that could of gone either way?

pretty wide ud but they picked the right guy. boy. well agbeko had a taste of the belt. hell no rematch . maybe down the road Why no rematch?

I had Perez winning and would love to see a rematch. Still, those were some wide ass scores.

I thought the KD was the difference, but no wy in hell was that fight wider than 7-5 either way.

woooo judges finally worked..............most of agbekos rounds early were very close......still too wide 117.... Retarded scores! Probaby just to get Don King back out of town.
