still beating legends and former champions. Just goes to show how good he was in his prime, when people say he is a shadow of his former self, yet he is still a top 5 in the LHW division, and carries on beating legends and former title holders, and is getting ready for a mega fight with Beranard Hopkins, next year. im prolly the biggest roy fan here but until he beats a top 5 LHW or Cruiserweight...then i'll be convinced that he is washed up... =/ but i still love watching his fights dont get me wrong

He shouldn't be world ranked honestly, he's 5-4 in the past 5 years, knocked out brutally in 2 of those losses and dominated by Calzaghe another one of those losses with the best win coming over either a blown up, inactive Trinidad or the near shot Lacy.

Ever since he dropped all that weight from the Ruiz heavyweight fight he has never looked the same. Some say it was the loss of muscle, Some say it was the loss of interest, Some say it was just the style matchup of Tarver (Tarver's style would have always given him problems -- even in his prime) But if its one thing that most will agree with, that in his prime... he was a great fighter.

WTF, Daniel Judah? Would would destroy him! Yeah that's kind of a reach. Even an old Glenn Johnson beat Daniel Judah in a fight that has me thinking the Road Warrior may have gotten old over night kuz he looked like shit compared to the Dawson fight. But yeah.........Daniel Judah??? RJJ could prolly whoop him with one foot in the grave, nevermind one foot in the door to retirement

I expect him to beat up the limted Danny Green to. To win the IBO Cruiserweight Title, which is a nice little accomplishment for him. I am sorry I am not impressed by Danny Green. And, if Roy losses that fight he should deffinetly retire...

I think Roy still beats Yusaf Mack, Gabriel Campillo, and maybe even Adrian Diaconu. mack beats the dog shit out of him, diaconu too. havent seen enough of campillo to have an opinion.. but dawson, hopkins, johnson, cloud, pascal, tarver, george the two already mentioned and maybe even daniel judah all beat the living hell out of RJ. im a fan of his, but thats just the way it is.

That being said, the sad truth is Id still rather watch an old Roy than half these dudes out here now. Even on his way out, or "shot" as some call him, he's still incredibley entertaining to watch; maybe even moreso now that he gets hit more I to still enjoy watching Jones fight, wish he would stop them showboating antics do. Felt sorry for Lacy in that fight when Jones was doing all that hopping around shit.

When has he beat a "legend" in recent times? He beat an inactive, blown up Tito Trinidad, a few bums, and a few shot to shit guys. I can see where you're coming from and all... but he hasn't beaten anyone to really say "Wow, he's good" in recent memory. IMO. That's my feelings exactly man. His next opponent Danny Green is a strong, tough guy.......but that's not a boxer that my kids or grandkids are gonna be talkin about, odds are they'll never even hear of him. Look how he fought against that bum from Argentina or wherever on the RJJ/Jeff Lacy PPV. That guy was took some shots don't get me wrong but he was easily the worst fighter I can remember watching. He was walking at Green completely square to em n just swingin both arms he looked like he belonged in a fight on an elementary school short-bus, he was pathetic n yet Green didn't just blow him out. Green actually got hit a lot more than he shouldve, thankfully that poor awkward bastard can't hit. Green should be nothing more than a payday......same thing any fight has been for some time now(Slapzaghe just happened to be a lil more lively than RJJ thought) RJJ still has great handspeed but he's on his way out, his legs are gone. He lays on the ropes so much more now n it's not just to clown his sub-par opposition it's kuz he can't move like he used to. BHop is gonna execute RJJs career, or what's left of it.
