At the end of this interview James Toney says if he ever gets in the ring with a Klitschko he'll "knock his ass out". Who do you think wins the match up between Toney and Vitali?
toney is a more skilled fighter and better than vitali in an ATG sense
that said,he gets beaten up badly in this fight-he is past it and fat as fukk
the guy aint a HW
He'd get knocked out if he got hit with Wlad's big right, don't worry.;) Sure as hell. There is a limit to any man's endurance.
I could see Wlad being the first to KO Toney at this stage, but if Toney's defense was up to his former standard, Wlad might not be able to land that right flush and he might also get countered enough to stop trying to land it frequently. It could be an interesting match up still, especially if Toney got himself in decent enough shape to go 12.
That would be even worse. Brutal murder! Toney would need an ambulance.
I don't know, Toney's never been KO'd in his 83 fights, he's KO'd 44 people which is more people than Vitali's ever faced (40) and he's been in with some good power punchers too. Unless Toney loses his defence and resilience overnight I think he could probably withstand even Vitali Klitschko for the full 12. Vitali wouldn't land half as frequently on him as he did on most of his other opponents, his connect percentage in that fight would probably drop quite a bit.
Vitali Klitschko by brutal ko or stoppage.
Toney doesn't have the athleticism or body type to make his style work anymore, unless he's metamorphed himself from how he was in his last fight.
Toney needs to start doing his talking in the ring if he wants to get a title shot. In fact, he should try to get on the undercard of the many hw fights taking place this last quarter of 2009...
I'd rather see this than Vitali vs Johnson.
Who knows, I wouldn't put it past Toney to make Vitali look cumbersome for a couple of rounds before getting smashed to pieces.
But any fighter that stands in front of Vitali is almost certainly getting stopped. Even Toney. A mercy stoppage.
