Here is an idea, why not have Winky Wright in the tournament?

To be fair Winky would have lost to Williams even while he was in his prime, its the style that bothered him more than anything else. Winky would easily outbox Froch IMO, and would beat Taylor pretty easily this time around, and is a better boxer than the inexperienced duo. He is also pretty active in the ring and has a great jab. I don't think it was Williams style which bothered Winky. I thought Winky looked horrible. Anybody who says Winky was at his best he could of been vs Williams is full of it. Winky defiantly got gassed pretty quick in this fight.

winky has no power at 154, he'll have less at 168... shit, i didn't even think winky handled taylor's power well. nah man, winky doesnt win with power, he wins with a stout jab and good defense, which frankly would beat most these guys in this tourney i wonder if dawson could make 168 he would be the best option if he could...if not williams or pavlik i know dawson is tied up w/ his GJ rematch, but he has stated several times in the past that his next move, if he can't get anything at 175, is to go to 168.. for a fight or two following the $$$$, he's said he can make it w/o much of a problem... so watch for him going after maybe adrade or bute sometime maybe, since the rest of the fighters are tied up

Don't let the Williams fight fool you, Williams just got swamped by activity. I would choose Winky to beat Froch, Taylor, wWard, and possibly Abraham. I also think a fight between him and Kessler could go either way. Winky Wright should replace taylor if Taylor is indeed out. Fuk no, it's bad enough there are two boring fighters in the tournament like Ward and Dirrell. We don't need another one.

I also think a fight between him and Kessler could go either way. Winky Wright should replace taylor if Taylor is indeed out. It was more than activity, Winky got the shit beat out of him. AA would murder him, Froch could have a chance to outwork him, Kessler would work him, and Dirrell and Ward would be favorites to outbos him.

Exactly my thoughts. 160 seems to be his max as far as being an effective fighter. Truth be told he did pretty well against Hopkins, and won about 4 rounds. I would pick hi to beat Froch any day, Winky has a solid chin, and Tito at 160 hits harder than Froch at 168 imo.

It would be interesting. I think he'd be a welcome addition. He didn't do too badly against Williams, it's just that Williams was too much for him. Winky threw around 500+ punches in that fight, I believe, so he wasn't as rusty as some would like to think. His legs are gone, he won't be effective in chasing down opponents, but his defense is still solid. I don't expect him to get hurt a la Taylor. This tournament could be his 2 year long swan song, which makes up for the time he was inactive.

He is a better choiose than NMiranda that is for sure. I aint arguing that haha.
