Who else thinks Ward will beat Kessler?

This is Wards Coming Out Party - He will put Oakland on the Boxing Map. that's what I'm saying. Ward will pull off a Joe Calzaghe on Kessler come November.

I want Ward to win, but I think he gets beat decisively.

If Kessler loses to Ward, then it really takes the excitement out of Kessler/Froch. Froch got schooled by Dirrell pretty badly. Id still be happy to see it.

I think Ward beats him. He has a very good style to match a robotic guy like Kessler.

I got Kessler by TKO around the 10th round.

Ward has nice skills; but Kessler will win; anyway it will be a great fight!

No way this is KO. Ward and Kessler will be a close decision just like Dirrell vs. Froch, not as sloppy as that fight since Ward will fight on the inside with anyone. Ward I think will win by MD. Ward is too green, and master no skills. He has good array of skills, and will make it fairly even until the tempo gets to be too much. Kessler will be the better man on the outside, and inside. Wards defense is not nearly good enough at this level, especially against Kessler, and his power is the worst of the 6. Kessler tko 10 , It is in Oakland and Ward will fight his heart out. Unless Ward has something that I havent seen yet

kess should KO him. ward is a good fighter, in fact no he is potentially a great fighter, he has sound fundamentals, good technique and good handspeed. i think his movement may cause kess some problems and ward may have more success on the inside than some may think. but the minute wqard tastes kess's power he will become gun-shy and when he does that he'll be inviting kess onto him. imo kess will stop him but until then i expect ward to pose some problems.

The judges won't be troubled. Easy win for Kessler against another overrated 'prospect'. 6-8 round KO.

If Ward doesn't gas out...I wouldn't be surprised if he won via late stoppage. He'll be countering Kessler all day and jabbing/ over hand right. Ward has a questionable chin combined with an over reliance on his handspeed. He's not fought any fighter with timing yet and this will be the reason he gets hit all night by Kessler. I honestly think the key to beating Kessler is out-boxing him from the outside, because he doesn't seem to be able to do a hell of a lot to stop it if you're able to get your jab in before him. Unfortunately for 99% of fighters, getting your jab in before him is impossible.

I actually have millions of points on Ward. :boxing: This fight is in Oakland, correct? If so, Kessler better hope for a KO, or he might just get Andre Dirrell'd!! Or American judges will show why they are on average a lot more fair then their european counterparts.

If you can back Kessler up, you have a chance... Calzaghe did just by throwing a high volume of punches. Yeah. Kessler is best when he moves forward. If you can force him to fight off the back foot you'll have a good chance IMO.

i think he beats him and actually wins the whole tourney :boxing: Dream on, the only reason you're dreaming of this is because of Wards skin color.

I say Ward outboxes the Viking Warrior to a UD. he's too slick. I say you're very wrong. I just hope that Ward is brave enough to actually fight and not pull a Dirrell on Kessler.

You guys are really starting to forget that the sport is called boxing... and not Muthaf*ckin "Knockout". Ward is going to beat everyone that steps in front of him...He will start sitting down on his punches more and more as the tournament progesses. He is the only fighter in this tournament that can move and punch at the same time...

Jab and hug all night and a dcn. Kessler needs to drop him at least twice or ko him to eat him in Oakland. Anyways I'm still rooting for kessler to win to the whole thing

Ward IMO is being underrated, and it'll be a tough fight, but Kessler will take over during the second half of the fight and win a decision or stop him late.
