This guy stopped the late great champions Gatti & Diego. He beat 2 undefeated champions in Diego & Hatton in their prime. He has beaten future hall of Famers like Oscar & Marquez. He holds victories against former champions like Hernandez, Castillo twice, Judah, Baldomir & Mitchell.
If Floyd beak King Kong what BS would the haters come up with then?
PS I think they would say it was only because Floyd was a human.
would you make Calzaghe the best boxer because he is undefeated and fought better competition than Floyd? i know you wouldnt agree but would you name a future hall of famer that FLoyd fought? because i can name 2 fighters that Calzaghe beat convincingly and those are 2 future hall of famers.
Floyd need to fight 2 or 3 of the best welterweight available. you guys keep on saying he is the best and even Floyd said he can beat anyone but he has to back up his claim in the boxing ring not in some interviews.
You are so smart that you can't figure this out, and you keep posting the same thing over and over again after your points are easily disproven. So you already dumbed it down for me. Thanks Floyd ballhugger number x.
I have said time and time again things like Floyd should fight the best, and other things that class me as definitely not just your average "ballhugger". I like Pac, I like AA...I like Cotto.. I like Pwill, and many more. I'm more a fan of boxing as a sport than any one fighter. But I carry no blatant HATRED for a fighter either (except maybe James Butler). I find it laughable some of the justifications and excuses some of y'all use, masquerading that shit as objectivity. Give me a ****ing break.
Repeating? Maybe that's because people (Read: you) keep skewing one point I make and basically ignore something else I have to say, just so they can feel fuzzy about themselves when they resort to insults.

he needs to beat just one. still waiting..
all of this started 5 fights ago...there was no question about floyd until after he beat gatti...after that...they said he was running from judah...he promised to fight judah and take that belt...then judah lost the belt and he said he'd still fight judah...but all of a sudden he's ducking baldo...beats judah up and goes for baldo immediately...right before that...he gets called a runner cause he's fighting baldo now instead of margo...he beats baldo's ass and de la hoya comes calling...everyone forgets margo and mayweather beats hoya...then everyone points across the water and says he'll never beat hatton...by this time, margo is forgotten cause he got beat down by p.will...after he beats hatton, the "but you aren't fighting..." arguments turn into pure hatred...fans are fickle as a bitch...floyd is only scared to you cause you need an excuse to hate him...you don't like his attitude...you don't like his character...so you go as far as to discredit every fighter he's fought...well guess what...at the time...they were the welterweight class...you can't take that away from them...so just admit you hate floyd...
there is basically only one opponent left for him at WW...that's cotto...but if cotto loses to pac...he'll really be damaged goods...floyd could come in and dust cotto and it won't mean shit to the fans cause he'd all of a sudden be washed up since margo beat him...it's a no win situation for floyd...
but whether the haters love it or not...floyd is the most important figurer in boxing...you will watch his fights...he will sell the most...and you don't know anyone better...
He will. He'll fight the best out there.. Pac/Cotto for sure. And I'm willing to bet that the threads here won't change all that much in content.
I'm sorry if my apparent intelligence intimidates you. That was not my aim. I'll try to dumb it down for you.

Kevin, you know we get along but you know damn well Floyd hasn't been fighting the people that boxig fans want him to.
But at the end of the day, Floyd fought the guys he was supposed to fight when fans were breathing down his neck to fight them.
Corrales, Jesus, Hernandez, Gerano, Corley, Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, De La Hoya, Hatton.
It's not his fault that while Judah and Baldomir were top WW's, Cotto was a weight drained JWW.
Not Mayweather's fault that he called out Mosley and ended up fighting De La Hoya because Mosley had a "toothache".
He did what you all asked him to do when he fought Baldomir after Brian Kenny and all the fans were accusing him of ducking Baldomir.
Judah was a fight that was already verbally signed with HBO regardless if Judah won or lost to Baldomir.
He beats all of them and then a new batch of fighters comes out and he's now ducking them all like if he can fight them all in the same ring at the same time. It takes a couple of years to fight all these fighters that you spoiled fans are demanding for him to fight.
If you're the reigning top fighter in the world and are still performing at a high level, the general idea is to continue fighting the best until you can't anymore. There's no stipulation to where one fighter just says, "Ok I fought everyone...now I'm just going to fight Joe Blow because my name's Floyd Mayweather and Ill make money either way". Not to say Floyd is going to do that, but that's pretty much what a lot of the Floyd fans say on here without admitting it.
If Floyd is still the great fighter he's shown us he is, he has to keep on taking the best fighters in the world until he feels he can't anymore, like other great champions before him.
Who did Ali not fight though? Ali fought everybody he was suppose to fight. I could mak a top 10 ranking of top fighters that Floyd did not fight. SRR had over 200 fights, Floyd has around 40. Floyd for awhile now has fought only 2-3 times a year. Every single fight should be a risky fight.
I see your point for the present day. Even I will have trouble defending him if he fights someone like Alvarez next. But I think back then, he should of been allowed a few fights in which to show case himself and open up, as opposed to it being tactical.
I have a problem with the Judah fight. Howevr, I am ok with Baldomir cuzz he was the lineal champion. But, I don't see the value in Judah after he was coming off a loss.
Well if you play it that way, Cotto is coming off a loss to Marg, and a near loss to Clottey. Yet I don't sit around and say that lessens the significance of the win for Manny if he beats Cotto. I think Judah had something like 2 losses when he fought Mayweather. Tsyu and Baldomir. Yet people are screaming for May to fight Mosley (which i think would be a good matchup) who has 5 losses.
If that is the game that they are playing. Then Pac is clearly winning. Pac beat Hatton at Hatton weight. Pac skipped a weightclass to beat Oscar. Floyd beat JMM who was 2 weightclass below who could of stilled make 130.
Oh all sorts of excuses can be thrown at this... Pac's versions of Hatton and DLH were lesser..ect... But I actually agree that Pac is ahead in the "legacy tarnishing" game. That's why, if Pac beats Cotto in a close match, Mayweather will fight Cotto first to beat him better. If Cotto wins...the game would just end, and he will fight probably Pac, then Cotto.
He will. He'll fight the best out there.. Pac/Cotto for sure. And I'm willing to bet that the threads here won't change all that much in content.
Why does it matter what people say on here? Just fight top guys in your division and fuk it if people talk shite. Real boxing fans will appreciate it, who cares what the others think.
Look at any great fighter's career. Ali didn't fight the absolute best every SINGLE time.. Same with SRR.. same with all the greats. They just fought. Bad comp, good comp.. and great comp.

judah was coming off a loss to Baldy as I recall... Floyd moved on to defeat Baldy right after that. "The guy that beat the guy"
I have a problem with the Judah fight. Howevr, I am ok with Baldomir cuzz he was the lineal champion. But, I don't see the value in Judah after he was coming off a loss.
As for JMM, I actually see the reason for that. May beat DLH and Hatton then retired... Pac came along and purposefully sought out both and beat them better than May did.. So may came out of retirement and beat JMM better than Pac did. Its this little game him and Pac play that I call "legacy tarniishing." They seem to have great fun doing it to each other.

Mate, if PBF faced and beat any of those guys, any true fan of boxing with any common sense would disregard any excuses that came up, because that's all it would be lad, excuses. The opinions of real fans that actually matter would be favorable, because the man got in the ring and handled his business. PBF himself will prevail in this matter by beating the top guys in his division. Threads like this will never prevail, because they are rubbish, created by pathetic teenagers who are mancrushing.

again with the horrible posts. Anybody knows that we are looking for Floyd to challenge himself. That includes fighting prime fighter at their weight. You use all kinds of big words and try so hard to be eloquent, yet anyone can see right through to your ballhuggery. Predicting excuses is pathetic, for years people have been dying for Floyd to fight certain guys, he has always taken the easy way out. Stop looking up words in your thesaurus and learn who is in what weight class, who is in their prime, who fights who, and who doesn't fght who and you might understand.
I'm sorry if my apparent intelligence intimidates you. That was not my aim. I'll try to dumb it down for you.
But again, NSB is cluttered with guys who think they're favorite fighters (whomever they may be) would beat every other great fighter in any other time, gotta take what a lot of people say with a grain of salt. The casual fans are really the ones who are the asses in the seats and provide the majority of the #s on PPV. I talk to a lot of casual fans who complain that Floyd should fight Shane Mosley after what they saw at the end of the Marquez vs Floyd PPV. But only on NSB will Floyd fans make it an issue for him not to fight Mosley because he either used steroids years ago or he has 5 losses (pretty much mimicking what Floyd tells the media). Goes both ways...
Well then yeah, I agree casual fans are ultimately what matter most. But for one reason or another... probably boredom, I have decided to take up the least taken up stance on NSB, and to try to talk sense into that fringe element.
A foolish quest, I know.
But, in all honesty what kind of value did Sosa, Ndou, Bruseles and Mitchell had going into the fights? What kind of value did Corley and Judah had when they were coming from a loss going into the fights? What kind of value did Marquez had at WW? In all honesty as a boxing fan no nuthuggin. What kind of value did they have going in?
Don't get me wrong, I think he should fight top comp right now. He's fighting less and less now plus he just came out of retirement, so when he does fight he should make it count. But as for in the past when he fought more often, I don't think he had to fight the best out there every time. Look at any great fighter's career. Ali didn't fight the absolute best every SINGLE time.. Same with SRR.. same with all the greats. They just fought. Bad comp, good comp.. and great comp.
As for Floyd, when he does fight the best and most dangerous, a lot of times it ends up a tactical match. Not crowd pleasers. Ndou, Mitchel, ect were oppurtunities for Floyd to open up and be a bit more exciting for his fans. And judah was coming off a loss to Baldy as I recall... Floyd moved on to defeat Baldy right after that. "The guy that beat the guy"

I am not afraid of Floyd losing. I want to see some good fights.
Here's an excuse list for possible Floyd opponents, in tradition of the simply wonderful thought provoking posts I see in NSB:
Cotto: Cotto was shot
Pac: Pac was too small and his style is tailor made for Floyd
Marg: weakling without his plaster
Mosley: Floyd waited too long..SSM got too old
Berto/Alvarez: They were too green
Collazo: He was a glorified gatekeeper
Pwill: He was overrated cuz of his physicality
Especially, if whichever fighter is dominated, and its made to look easy by Floyd

I never said he shouldn't fight top comp. Link to where I EVER said that.
I'm just saying excuses will pop up regardless.. and threads like this will prevail no matter who he beats.

They will have already dished out the money. Because the fight would be over. My point is that any fighter he beats loses credibility, as opposed to giving HIM credibility. Its the easier process in a lot of people's minds.
To the casual fan, you might have a point. But I'm not talking to casual fans here. I'm talking to freakin' NSB.
