It pisses me off though the way he has to make the champion (kessler) travel to his backyard and then has the nerve to be smug about it in his postfight interview.
Kessler could use a road fight. I heard his passport expired.
with all things considered I had Froch with the toughest schedule as of now. But then again he can look like a million bucks if he beats just one of the next two. Hell be a shoe in if he beats just one of the two. however, I highly doubt he can get any more points.
However, there are two other very tough schedules. Coming off of a loss will be tough for Dirrell against Abraham, although i think style wise Dirrell has a good chance of pulling the decision if he punches more often. Still he is coming off of a close loss, and this high pressure for a win might be too much for the young one.
After fighting Ward, away from his home turf and in Oakland Ward's backyard (somewhat difficult), Kessler will have to fight back to back fights against Froch (More difficult) and Abraham (most). This is very similar to Froch's schedule. The only reason i said Frochs schedule would be more difficult is because i dont think much of him.
Abraham has the easiest considering ko bonus point. Too early to call (Kessler still has to fight Ward) but in theory, he can lose both fights and still have a good chance to the next round. I don't think he will lose both but i am saying this because Abraham's fight with Dirrell is stylistically out of his favor while the mismatch of height and reach is out of his favor with Froch.
I just like how no one has the "easy" schedule so to speak. Challenges for everyone.
My most anticipated fights:
The andres
Kessler Froch
Taylor Ward
lol to my rant, this tourney is just that awesome.
Yeah it pretty much comes down to who you think is better between Ward and Dirrel, I think Dirrel is, so I think Froch has a tougher schedule.
I'm with you reed. That's the same reason I think Froch has it the toughest.
I see Ward as a fight Taylor can win.
That was my thinking as well. Dirrell is tougher to look good against, whereas Ward might be more difficult to beat considering he's less likely to give away rounds.
However, Froch also has to face Kessler (in Denmark) and Abraham back-to-back.
Not sure there's a wrong answer between Froch and Taylor.
What I don't get is how Ward not only got all three of his fights stateside, but also the perceived-to-be lightest schedule of the bunch. Sure, Kessler is a tough opening round draw, but Taylor (or Green) and Dirrell come after that.
Conversely, Kessler has to twice travel to the states if I'm not mistaken.
Ward's promoter did a good job for him.
