How do you get Froch 115-112 ? what fight were you watching dirrell threw more punches then froch.
On a side note I watched the Abraham vs Taylor fight in a Romanian Broadcast first. I had Taylor winning on points going into the 12th. I rewatched it yesterday, the Showtime broadcast and I thought the announcers were biased as fuuck for abraham.
I wanted abraham to win, and predicted him to win, but I thought Taylor was clearly a head on points and the showtime crew was completely opposite of what I had it. They said Taylor needed a KO in the 12th to win.
Agree. They were really up Abe's ass. Kinda sickening, to be honest.

I had Dirrell, he won almost all the early rounds. Froch looked bad at times in there. Defence should be scored but at ring side it can be hard to see what punches land, still Dirrell def won imo.
This is why you should rewatch a fight before passing judgement if you see it via crappy stream.
Yes. And it's also why I said I need to see the fight again before I can really decide who won.

I'm not a fan of Dirrell, in fact I picked him to lose by decision because of his amateurish style. That been said, he fought exactly the way I thought he would but definitely won the fight. Why anyone is surprised about the hometown decision boggles my mind. Boxing politics have favored champions far more then challengers and because of this Dirrell shoulde have seen the hand writting on the was especially after that bogus point reduction while Froch wrestled the whole fight, even throwing Dirrell to the ground. Froch has almost no chance of winning this tournament. Don't be surprised if Froch has a training injury and has to drop from the tournament.
Froch is not dropping out of any tournament. the man is determined to say the least. He was Frustrated all night and he wanted to fight and get Dirrell intoa brawl and exchange with the man. the only chance Froch had to beat Dirrell was to catch him with a counter punch both men knew that and they fought accordingly. Dirrell should have threw more combinations well more punches in his combination instead of 2-3 punch combos more like 4-5 punch combos. I think he had a chanc eto get Froch out of there before the night was over or at least make him pay for missing with more of that straight left hand he was landing. the last thing I would associate Froch with is quitting or pulling a FMJ and claiming an injury to prevent a loss of his 0.....Lefty
I flip-flopped on this one. At first (after seeing the live broadcast with a shit quality picture) I said it could have gone either way. After a second viewing (in good quality) I had Dirrell winning by a couple of points.

I had Dirrell winning by about 3 rounds. He was impressive in the sense that he was incredibly evasive and made Froch look foolish. However, it's all good making a guy miss, but Dirrell should have been making him miss and making him pay. He should have been countering Froch all night long. That would have made a much bigger impression on the judges instead of what could be interpreted as 'running.' I assume that the judges scored for Froch's aggression and intent as Dirrell wasn't making Froch pay, just making him miss.
116-111 Dirrell.
I had Dirrell as the winner I didn't score the fight but I saw it that way. Let me say this in light of the decisioand my firend at my hounse Saturday night had it 115-112 for Froch. He said that was going to be the score of the two judges who had Froch ahead. Dirrell needed to press the action more in the later rounds. he was able to back Froch up with his left hand all night he was catching him coming in. Froch was outclassed and too slow to deal with Dirrells speed and boxing skills. Dirrell tried to retaliate on Frichs ruff house tatics but he did it in the wrong way in the corner and it cost him a point. Also he complained too much once he saw he wasn't getting the response from the reff he was expecting he should have answered Froch back with combinations. Not just 1-2 punches but 3-5 punches he had seed and accurate punching. In some cases styles win and lose fights inthis case the style he fought was NOT ging to win hm that fight that night. he evern heard it fromhis corner in the 12th they told him you need to knock him out you are NOT going to get a decision. It seemed he was happy to end the figh ton his feet and get through 12 rounds. HELLO my man you are in a SUPER 6 TOURNEY not fighting a tune up fight for a belt or getting work in the gym. You are fighting the WBC CHAMP ON HIS HOME TURF with thousands of screaming brtis looking for your scalp. You need to KO the dude DUH!!!.....Lefty
115-112 Dirrell.
I could see how it goes 114-113 at best for Froch, but keeping mind the dubious point deduction (don't get me wrond, Dirrell deserved it, but so did Froch for the numerous punches to the back of the head), that was a very lucky win for him.
That was champion- and hometown-bonus both in full effect on the scorecards, in my opinion.
I had it 114-113, Dirrell (7 rds to 5, -1 pt deduction) and could actually see the case for giving him one more round.
What I can't see is scoring six, never mind seven, rounds for Froch. Everyone making a case for him has done so based on what they didn't like about Dirrell's performance, not on what Froch was actually able to do about it.
That's the problem I have with making a case for Froch.
From a styles perspective, I wholeheartedly agree with those who say there was no winner in the fight.
A draw is fine but when you look at two of the judges having it 115-112, that's ourageous. That means that even if Dirrell had boxed Froch's ears off in the 12th, Froch still would've got the decision.
