not counting the ones he landed to the back of dirrell's head...
3 or 4? HAHAHA...what a "champion"...way to shit on the sport on a potential landmark day judges...
as far as froch saying "i cant fight whats not in front of me"...umm...yeah, we know...thats why we all think you lost the fight smart guy...
no offense to froch fans...just another sad day for boxing, is all...
Dirrell won the fight, its amazing the judging in both fights last night, Froch done nothing yet got a `Gift` decision, while over in Germany after 6rds the commentators had Abraham a couple of rounds ahead even tho he had landed no more than 5 or 6 punches in the fight compaired to Taylors 200+ jabs... IMO all fights should be fought over in Las Vegas
Sorry guys, I think Derrill lost this one. He landed one or two big punches the whole fight. Froch landed a few and Derrill clung on to him for dear life. Derrill was blatantly running and the crowd did not like it. Froch played it dirty offensively while Dirrell played dirty defensively. Clinching, Clinging and Holding, Ducking low so the only target was the back of his head. I agree he came on strong at the end though. Froch just landed the harder blows. Whenever Froch landed you could see Dirrell running or clinging. I knew that kind of American style boxing wouldn't roll in Europe. It was close, but I think Froch edged this one based on chin, activity, aggressiveness, and just consistently more effective shots.
To tell you the truth most people thought Dirrell would get on his bike. I did not expect him to start sitting on his punches and actually swinging near the end. Too bad it was too little too late.
Who gives a f**k about Compubox, the judges don't base their decisions base on Compubox.
You want point scoring, go watch the summer olympics and watch guys slap-box.
They should have, anything for them to know who should have won.
not many.....I mean, I was watching the brit broadcast of the fight, and the footage they brought up in the end to "recap" the fight and make a case for Froch actually winning, was a combination where all his punches missed, and they baldfaced lied to themselves (and me) and pretended he was landing clean effective shots. I was like...wtf...what am I watching..
I thought it might have been only me, but when I came onto the forum, I found out it surely wasn't.
I don't how many he landed, but when he missed, he REALLY missed. That's what stuck out most to me during the fight. He would miss by a mile and Dirrell would smile at him.
