By grabbing hold as soon as he gets in range? Or by dropping on one knee every time he fires back?
Froch was utterly dismal but Dirrell made it a completely tedious fight.
yeah, dirrell stunk out the joint, but he still won.
Showtime guys said virtually nothing. Seemed like they were loathe to saying anything at all negative about this tourney. I was pretty shocked and pissed to hear zero outrage on the part of the Showtime guys. Love him or hate him, Larry Merchant would have called serious bullshit on the scoring.
showtime guys know that if they say dirrell got robbed that it ruins the tourney and it did... the super 6 is a super farce.
I watched the British telecast on a stream, and the Britsh announcers had Dirrell by a round. What did Showtime people say?

That should have been obvious to you from the beginning. Why else would some of these bums even be in the tournament if they weren't planning on using some shenanigans to make them look competitive?
So these "bums" like Froch, who have world titles, shouldn't be in the tournament, but untested prospects like Dirrell and Ward should?:thinking1:
Someone should tell him the name of the game is to hit the other guy, and not get hit.

I agree man, this has totally turned me off a bit from the tourney.

It was a close fight i had it 5-5 and 1 even up until the 12th......without the point deduction Dirrell should have won, but all in all a close competitive fight. If any thing it proves Dirrell is not a hype job and can perform on a world level. He should be proud of his performance.
of course he should be proud he won.
Dirrell looks good but his tactics are wrong need to engage and mix up his style not run and hug tactics, you think that shit can work against abrahams, i predict he will lose again, Abrahams is well awkward, only Kessler I think is capable of beating Abrahams, because of his counter punching ability.
They say the mafia controlled the sport of boxing generations ago, but clearly the trend has not ceased one bit, that was a clear robbery tonight and makes me wonder why i bother watching this WWE bullsh/t, to take away a fresh, young prospects 0 in favor of that old dirty slugger who was clearly exposed tonight in front of his own fans just beggers belief, i've lost all trust in this sport now, it's not about skill anymore it's about big names and paying people off for decisions, f/ck boxing.

This is bad for boxing, there clearly needs to be some type of system going on. Froch did nothing to win, Dirrell clearly won, and got off his shots when he wanted to. Froch initiated the dirty tactics, got hurt in the 10th and did nothing the last two rounds to prove he's a champion. I'm glad Ward gets Kessler in Oakland...
yea all the hype just for a fixed tournament.....all the hometown fighter will win there descions...over 15 punches to the back of the head but no call dirrel won

Seriously dissapointed. What the hell did Froch do to deserve a victory?
How many memorable Dirrell moments were there?? Too many!!
And for Froch?? One?
I had it 116-112 for Dirrell
I feel your pain, mate. But Froch was the deserved winner. Dirrell just wanted to dance about and hold. He didn't do enough.
how was it deserved? they robbed dirrel... dirrell landed the cleanest most effective shots.
Although he did hold an awful lot, he was landing too. Clean punches. Froch on the other hand, couldn't find him.
Froch fought like an amateur tonight.
IM furious right now
they could have easily deducted MORE points from croch for pushing his head down, rabbit punching, hitting during the break etc etc.
WTF is this crap
That all stopped when Dirrell stopped holding.
dirrell schooled froch. dirrell displayed good defense and counterpunching in the first half and then showed that he had good offense too in the last few rounds. dirrell should have won.
It is really amazing that Floyd Mayweather Jr. has never been in Dirrell's position right now. This is the second fight, along with the Malignaggi-Diaz fight, that a guy has outboxed and earned a decision and been screwed over. Disgraceful.
Floyd has never left it to the judges. You cannot compare Dirrell's track routine to a Mayweather schooling.
