If you look at that date. It was around May around 2004. Which is true that happened. And, I Floyd couldn't get the fight and instead moved up to 140 to fight 'Chop Chop' Corley. But, I was talking about 2003 and when Spadafora said in 2002 he wanted to fight the winner of Floy-Castillo. The whole thing when he shot his girl happened early 2004. But, in 2003 they could of fought But, Floyd instead chose to fight Sosa and Ndou. If I am not mistaken Floyd said something like Sadafora should fight Dorin and that he fight winner. But, my point is. Floyd should of fought both instead of Sosa and Ndou.
Maybe that was when Spaddy had asked for the fight in Pittsburg and May had declined?
Right I am just saying Winky is huge and has fought at 170 and 160 recently, to say that Floyd ducked him is a little silly cause they were never in the same division. Also, JMM moved up to fight Floyd cause he is a cash cow, and FMJ moved up to face DLH cause he is a cash cow, Winky is the opposite, Floyd is the bigger name in that fight. Not saying it is right, its just the way Floyd does business. It is also tougher to move up divisions the higher up you get, as there are more pounds in between divisions.
I agree, but im sure some people on this board would find a way to give Floyd shit.
I agree, but it would of been nice to see. He would of gotten respect win/lose. But, if anybody gives Floyd shit for 'ducking' Winky. Then you know they hating. Again I think Floyd has avoided top fighters. But, saying he ducked Winky would be ridiculous and just plain hating.
Floyd approached him for a fight:
Acri had been approached by promoter Bob Arum (of Top Rank) about the possibility of fighting Floyd Mayweather in the Pretty Boy’s hometown of Grand Rapids, MI. After some deliberation, Madison Square Garden was chosen as the more “neutral” location, as well as the one that would land the bigger gate, but in May of 2004 the New York State Athletic Commission refused to license Spadafora despite the fact that he had not even been tried, much less convicted. That caused him to lose out on a purse that may have been as much as a million dollars.

Oh ok I was about to say lol. But, in reality that fight would of taken place at 154. Where Floyd fought Oscar. But, I don't consider it ducking. However, if Floyd would of fought him. I would of had mad respects for him. Where I probably would be his #1 fan right now lol. But, is not ducking cuz that was not Floyd weightclass. However, you can say that would of been the same equivalent of JMM fighting Floyd at 147. Look how much respect JMM got for that. I think Floyd would of gotten the same. Especially from me. And, imagine if he would of won. Who could argue his greatness? I don't think nobody could of.

No I am laughing at anyone who says Floyd ducked a guy who fought at 170 recently.

Paulie wanted to fight him. Paulie called him out. Paulie said he wanted to fight the winner of Castillo/Floyd. Floyd did not want to fight and instead chose to fight Ndou and Sosa two lesser fighters.

Like i said, wheres the link, the proof? you lost.......
The proof is in the common knowledge of boxing fans. I am not going to dig through articles and videos to prove you wrong because you are an ignorant punk who cannot engage in logical debate. Anyone who has been following boxing for more than five minutes is well aware what I am saying is factual.
You cant just throw names out there and say floyd ducked them because a fight wasnt made. Just because someone wanted to fight him doesnt mean he ducked them. Everyones gonna call him out because thats where the money is. @ 140 he wanted the Tszyu fight bad but he got beat. Hatton wanted no part of the US at the time and thats a fact. And Arum wasnt putting Cotto with Floyd @140. @147 Sharmba was just an introduction to WW and the zab fight was bs but people wanted to see it. Baldomir was the WW champ and if he didnt fight him people would have said he ducked him. He wanted Mosley and its a fact that Mosley declined the fight at the time. Nobody can blame him for fightng oscar and Hatton was a fight that everyone wanted. Yes Arum offered 8 million to fight Margarito but with a stipulation that he would have a stake in Floyds future fights. He would have been stupid to take that deal because at that time de la hoya said he would never do business with arum. Now people want to give him shit for ducking mosley when floyd hasnt even committed to his next fight. Hes def gonna fight shane or pac/cotto winner so please stop. Why didnt shane gwy criticized thid much when he turned floyd down or when he said pwill didnt bring enough money but hes prob gonna fight berto for much less than than he would have made against pwill. Some people just cant be objective. Oh yeah and winky wanted 50/50.
You have not heard him call out Mosley several times, say that he will lay the blueprint to beat Pac, called out Cotto when he was at light welter and said that he admitted Spaddy got the best of him in sparring but would whoop him in the ring if Paulie would ever do it?

is not actually new. They were talks about tha fight happening at 154 when both were ranked top 2 P4P fighters. I heard two different stories of why that fight did not happen. Floyd says Winky priced himself out and Winky says Floyd was not serious about fighting hm.
LOL then Winky went and fought at 170.
