Izzy knows the end is near. No doubt he is just trying to line up one more big payday before he gets out. I hope he gets it.

i think he needs to hang them up, or if he's going to do four with rafa, then do it soon and retire. the guy has had his retina detached and reattached so many times, and he keeps having countless surgeries on it....all that trauma adds up, he's going to have a miserable post-boxing life, health-wise.

He was bringin his left hand down a hell of a lot..especially to a guy (Priyolo) who wasn't even attackin the body!.. Thank God he's got a solid chin cuz those flush shots woulda put anyone else down!..when he got that cut and the Doc had to check it..he went in to killer instinct..because the cut came from a punch..it woulda been a TKO loss had it been stopped.. 2 rounds later he punishes the colombian knockin him down like 3 times and finally stopping him..I wanna say it was the long lay off..but he didn't seem to have it like before tho..but we'll see.

Hi Jr. And I missed the damn fight. But I wanna see him fight anotha soft fight or 2 before challengin for a title. I won't crack down too hard on him just cuz his 1st fight back he looked bad. If he struggles wit anotha low level guy, maybe he is done. I don't expect him to be in top form ever again, but I think he can restore himself to sumthin close to his best.

Izzy is done. He is ruined, finished, finito. That wasn't ring rust that caused him to get popped all night by a blown up flyweight who had been knocked out in something like his last 6 fights. Izzy had to go life and death with this guy to get the win. He was clearly getting hit more than he was connecting. I think anyone close to elite level may really hurt this guy. Marquez would decimate him in a fourth fight. I like the guy, but he needs to hang up the gloves and call it a day.

so is he worse off than Marquez?? Rafael Marquez boxes more. Just like when Barrera fought Morales. Morales was more of the two slugger and that's why he got knocked out later on.

If he isn't he's only one fight being one. He took some time off which is good.

I want to see Izzy and Rafa 4th fght and then both retire. That would both fighter highest payday available. And, I wouldn't want to see them as a stepping stone for some of these young guns. i think thats the general idea...one more fight with marquez before he hangs em up... personally, i would mind seeing vasquez retire...dude has taken more punishment than 99% of those who have ever strapped on gloves... but if he fights, im watching it...he didnt wow me or anything tonight, but it was still an enjoyable fight...

I didn't see the fight, but if he did look as bad as it sounds against someone like Priolo, then maybe Izzy should reconsider things. One of my fave fighters, would hate to see him get hurt. I'm willing to give him one more fight to see how he looks without all the rust.

well in all fairness I've heard both men talking about the 4th fight (Cuatro) yes it would probably be Izzy's highest payday. but if Vazquez is shot .. it wouldn't be a very fun fight to see.

yeah heard about his cut up brow. maybe that's why he was pressing so hard for a 4th Marquez fight.

KO for Vazquez, all heart, bloody face like always. But damn not sure what to think. i wouldn't worry just yet.

typical israel vasquez fight...he's a very talented fighter with many flaws, and an excellent chin... look dicey for a second there though...
