Why isn't Mayweather vs. Cotto talked about. Is that even a possibility?

Mayweather has managed to keep his unbeaten streak alive by careful fight selections. He only fights those wo will be at some physical dis-advantage such as making them move up in weight or duck them unil they're on the down side of their physical capabilities. Look who he's fought in the last 3-4 years. Heck in his las tfight he did a double whammy, had Marques who was past his prime move up 2 weight divisions and Floyd still needed a bigger weight advantage. Did any real boxing fan think Marquez had a legimate chance?? Mayweather is a media generated super fighter

It ain't only the people on NSB, HBO also...Kellerman screaming "Pacquiao, I thought that would get your attention". The whole HBO crew talking Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, everywhere Mayweather went, Pacquiao's name got thrown in Mayweather's face. To top it all off, Bob Arum is/ has talked about Mayweather vs. Pacquiao. So what if Cotto won? :ugh: I know I'm not alone here, I haven't heard one thing about Mayweather and Cotto facing off. Not from Espn, HBO...name it! I've been saying (Including Mayweather fans) that, "Mayweather will face the winner of Cotto vs. Pacquiao". How do we know? I rather not have people talk about Mayweather vs. Cotto. I want that fight to happen but I just want Cotto to concentrate on Pacquiao and leave the other BS to the other camp

Although i'm hoping for a Pac win, this match is just great for boxing period. Why? Because you wont have anyone of those 2 fighting safety first. They give the viewers/audience their moneys worth. With that said..... Pac/Cotto is too close to call. I wouldnt be surpirsed if Cotto was the victor. He's a bad ass madapacka(<---Rex Navarrette)! You know Fraud wont fight Cotto, he wont even fight Mosely or PWill. Str8 coward....claims he came back for big fights? i think he just wants to pick on the LW and SLW/JWW fighters.......fuk him, we get exciting fights w/o him anyway and more entertaining as well.....

because pac/floyd is the fight that brings in the most fans and money. but i dont care who wins, i want floyd to fight the winner or mosley. those are the only 2 options that make sense to me

We will never know for sure what Mayweather intentions truly are except wanting the lions share of any fight purse. Does he deserve it? Well some say yes and some say no! The risk of loosing 1 fight will put a chill on his negotiating leverage which he has fought for harder than he has in any boxing match. Most of us want him to fight all challengers because of that 0 on his record. Unfortunately for us we will have to wait and see. I personaly would love to see a Cotto/Mayweather fight. A fight of this magnitude can only define ones character as well as fortitude.As boxing fans we are rarely treated to these type of fights because of GREED!!!

I think it's been probably one of the most disrespectful displays I've ever seen in regards to the media/fans/experts/ promoters totally disregarding a top ranked fighter that I can remember. I wouldn't be surprised if they made Cotto walk out 1st before Pac when they fight and he's the champion. Cotto should use that as a motivating factor and train harder than ever. I want Mayweather vs Pac, however I'd crack as smile if Cotto made Manny, easy work. Anyway, Cotto needs a strategist in his corner to help him with his game plan and provide those extra eyes that he'll need. This is his career that on the line. Is he a HOF'er or just a good fighter that people will forget about? Why is it that Cotto only has a strength condition trainer around and not a top flight trainer in addition to? smh Funny thing is, if Cotto wins, then major fights will be easier to be made than if it were reversed. Interesting man, I would use that as motivation. And no doubt Cotto is being disrespected.

The only positive Ive heard out of the Mayweather camp is an interview with Roger where he states if Cotto gets past Pac, that's a fight that can be made... I'm assuming Roger talks to Floyd everday, so the way he said seemed like.. it was a topic that had already been talked about in camp. I'd ATLEAST like to hear about a possibility of Cotto and Mayweather going at it. I've heard some say that he'll face Shane if Cotto were to beat Pacquiao. When Floyd was on Fox Spots the first guy he mentioned was Cotto. When Arum was talking about how Floyd would fight Shane, he mentioned how all 3 would beat him. If Cotto beats Pac, that's all you'll hear about. Boxing is all about who's hot at the moment. I wouldn't like to see that fight, don't think Cotto has IT do destroy Mayweathers defence; i'd rather see Williams (with his long hands) fight Mayweather.
