Ali gets this one, no surprise really.

Ali was the epitome of cockiness, trash-talking and swag. Not only did he talk trash, but he was articulate and didn't have to swear up a storm. A lot of people hated him as well, especially in the 60s...Most people warmed up to him though eventually.

For the guys saying mayorga I can't really put him up there because he didn't really back it up consistently in the ring for any real point in time. True, but ring success (or lack thereof) wasn't listed as a criteria.

You guys are giving mayweather too much credit in this too he just says some outlandish things on occasion and plays the bad guy role but in the ring he all business and just does what it takes to win. Not to mention he never badmouths guys after the fight even after that whole debacle with Zab Judah. Awe man I guess you guy's memory is a bit cloudy about roy jones career... We're talking about a guy who came out to fight with his own rap performance and knocked guys out while putting both arms behind his back, regularly winded up for hooks, and through quadruple+ left hooks in a row. I'm willing to hear about Ali being the more flashy persona because he pretty much pioneered it but I can't see anybody else with that kind of flashyness.
