Can Gamboa beat John?

When Gamboa fought for and won the interim title, I had hoped that he would fight John in the future. When John was upgraded to "Super", the chances of that happening decreased. I don't see Shane Mosley, WBA "Super" Welterweight Champion, fighting Vyacheslav Senchenko, WBA Welterweight Champion, anytime soon. That's true, but I think John-Gamboa would be a fight that people would want to see. Gamboa-John would be an entertaining (IMO) fight between the best fighter in the division against a dynamic offensive fighter. Much more to like about that than Mosley-Senchenko.

No, but John is the WBA "Super" Champion and Gamboa is the WBA Champion. It's assumed that they'll fight sometime soon. It probably means that John pays the WBA more than Gamboa. :lol1: I think you become "Super" champions if you A) make a certain number of defenses, or B) unify with another sanctioning body's champ. Maybe you're right, but he's been down around four times though. It could hurt him though in a close fight if he got dropped. John's biggest problem is his power; I don't think he'll be able to step right in at 130 and face the best because of it. I believe it's more than 4 times but again not once really hurt.He just lunges in Hamed style. Seems to have corrected that though. Nha,his chin is fine. Most his KDs are from off balance situations.Not once was he seriously hurt. Maybe you're right, but he's been down around four times though.
