Agreed, Cotto had enough power to make Mosely think twice, I dont think PBF has that power to keep Mosely off of him, I give Mosely the edge because of stamina, chin and power and speed. PBf will probably take alot of the early rounds but Mosely will find him late and probably hurt him and finish him.
That's almost close to being impossible IMO. The only fighters that Shane has recently stopped was Margarito and Mayorga, two wide open brawlers that he worn down with accumulation. When Shane has fought top notch boxers with good defense like Oscar, Wright, Collazo and Vernon, he has always been taken the distance. You can argue that Floyd has a superior defense than all of the above.
I think Cotto packs a little more punch than PBF and he still had to run a little because he couldn't back Mosley off with his power. PBF may beat Mosley but he'll have to run to do it, he ain't gonna KO Mosley that's for sure.

While Forrest and Winky both out boxed Mosley(twice), they were both naturally bigger boxers and had considerable height and reach over Shane and a consistent jab to neutralize his speed. I think Floyd could also pull this off, but it would be a much harder fight for him since hes not as physically strong as the two. One of the many problems that Shane will have in this fight, is that hes not good at making adjustments and is wide open to lead rights (Mayweather's favorite punch). I see him bringing his aggressive volume punching style early on, but i think Mayweather will being fully adjusted by the middle rounds and would start to technically take Shane apart, but it would be close on the cards. Definitely a fight i would buy.
"Mayweather/Mosley" is a great fight possibility, and I'ma let you finish ; but "Jones/Hopkins II" is the greatest "fight that should've taken place 8 years ago" of all time!!!!!!
Haha, Shoulda kept it closer to the original words. :boxing:
Right now, Mosley wins. That hunger will bring that animal out of him that can go 12 hard with Floyd. That defense May's got is a lemon against him. He'd be all over it, and Floyd wouldn't be able to just ultimately swat him away like he did Hatton.
Nazim Richardson would be the difference maker against Floyd and in a return bout against Cotto to me. First thing you saw from Shane's pairing with Naz was perfect game planning. Mosley wasn't doing any feeling out, he knew exactly what he wanted to accomplish the moment the bell rang. You saw Shane going hard to the body and using effective clinching that nullified Margarito's bull forward offensive.
Remember that, he couldn't even use it, it was nulled, just like when B-Hop takes away your best weapon. That ain't just skills, that's a man with a plan now. I'd expect nothing less from Naz in any other fights he's involved with Shane in.
Worst person to face right now at WW is Sugar. Only thing he was missing, he now has.

Mayweather will not enjoy the advantages in size, reach, and speed that he's been enjoying throughout his career if and when he faces Mosley.
this is very true and i might add power as well ...
Shane is no pushover. That's why he's being ducked.
Even if Mayweather beats the shit out of him, Shane deserves a fight. **** all the bullshit about steroids, it's in the past.

I favor Floyd but Shane can win this fight if he is prepared mentally and physically. Am I the only one who believes Floyd is throwing on punch at a time since he moved up to WW?

Shane being hungry is what's going to lose him the fight. He's going to be aggressive and load up on punches, and get tagged......and tagged.......and tagged.....and so on. PBF>>>>>>Mosely. Cotto showed us that if you can box you can beat Shane.
I think Mayweather would try to K.O. Mosley just because of all the disrespect and ducking Mosley has down over the years. Mayweather by K.O./T.K.O.:boxing:
PBF KO Mosely?..that is highly unlikely. I doubt if he can even hurt Mosely let alone knock him out, if you would of said he can beat Mosely then yes that can happen but to KO Mosely?..come on..
would be a good fight. Mosley is an incredible fighter, even at this age. I believe Floyd will win, but it will be fast-paced and engaging.
