Is Pavlik hungry enough to beat Williams?

Only possible good outcome for Pavlik is if Williams turns out to have a glass chin.

I think Pav's hurt himself a lot by having all this layoff (hasn't fought since Feb) P-will is going to be a nightmare match up for Pavlik .. if Williams chin can hold up, he takes Pav by UD.

id say williams will win this fight, i dont really rate pavlik at all. id say pavlik would be the ideal person for mayweather to take some easy titles off.

Pavlik has faced much better opposition and has good stamina and power. Hopefully the rumors of his drinking were false and he comes in healthy and motivated, if he does we will find out just how great Williams chin is in reality not fanboy lore. Williams will most likely try to fight a distance and workrate fight but still will get hit so should be a good fight.

That's true but Margarito was catching him late and cut him(mighta been a headbutt)...Pavlik can punch, Paul doesn't wanna eat a good amount of flush right hands... If Paul stayed on the outside I think he could dominate but thatz not his style... And this will be his first true middleweight...Winky was coming off a layoff and is old now...but that win was impressive Valid points, although Marg is only 5'10 if i recall. I think Pavlik will struggle a lot with the Southpaw stance. Its a pick em fight but i think its 60/40 Williams in my estimation anyway, Pavlik is slow one dimmensional but he can punch and he is tough.

P.Will got all the tools in the world to beat Pavlik but I think if Pav comes to the ring to fight the same way he did with Miranda and Taylor, this is going to be maybe the fight of the year.

I agree with what your saying but id just like to point out that Williams has beeen nailed by smaller men who were punching up where its more difficult to see the punches if they are coming from underneath, Id hazard a guess that Pavlik and Williams are not too far apart in terms of height. Nope. I used to think Pwill's chin wouldn't hold up to MW power. But Pavlik don't seem like his heart's in it. I don't think he really wants the fight. Pwill will UD him.

Honestly, I have no idea. I hope he is. I believe he can beat Williams. I just have no idea if he's going to. Maybe Hopkins really did take his soul? Who knows.
