I just called the theater today because I'm still debating on whether to watch at home or at the theater.
Tickets are $12.50 for the fight and when I asked how many tickets are left, she said over 200. What's crazier is that I live in Connecticut and this is the only theater in the state that's showing it. I've heard others say the theater near them is sold out, so I just wanted to present this fact.
The PPV at the movie theaters may not be as successful as GBP hoped.
Still, I think it's a good idea that just needs to be marketed better. I doubt many people (especially casual fans) even know this is an option.
The fact is, it's still more fiscally sensible to order the PPV. At $12.50 a ticket, that means all you need is 4 people and bam, that's $50 (same price as the PPV from Comcast).
This has been a tough decision for me but I'm leaning towards ordering it because I can drink beer for free at home (the theater actually has a full bar though).
yea, depends on the area probably. Connecticut doesnt have a huge boxing fanbase, does it?
better not be sold out when I go to the movies tomorrow...maybe I should check before I make the 30 minute drive...
cause I can always just go the sports bar.
I dunno though, I never cared about waiting in line for a little while, never preorder the tickets. that wouldnt change for a boxing match either. a bunch of people might be like me.
me and egreezy, that's about it, lol
I never preorder movie tickets either, but I was expecting people would preorder for this.
Dude, with MovieTickets.com you can order your tickets before you get to the theater and save all the trouble of going to the ticket window. LOL jk.
I hear you, but I've heard other people saying their theater is sold out.
