The key difference here between Marquez at 125 0r 130 and Erik Morales is that they're were fast fighters that are well conditioned. So they had some speed to be able to match with Pacquiaos own. Cotto must come ready and show some of the quickness he showed at 140, but he must be prepare for all twelve rounds. Cause theres was no questions that Morales or Marquez could go 12 rounds back then when they fought Pacquiao.

But Cotto is no JMM in terms of counter punching, and that JMM combo was a thing of beauty.

I don't think Cotto will be landing like Marquez since he is much slower. Nore is he a great counter puncher like Marquez. I disagree cotto is just as fast but he is not as skilled maybe to land the same counter

Along with what they ^^^ said... I think Manny had been draining himself to make 130, which could have effected his later performances at that weight. Also that one shot from Marquez when Manny was midair was a bomb and Manny took it pretty well, only stunned for a couple seconds, it did hurt him, though.

its clear in both fights marquez was able to land and stun manny. in my opinion marquez was the last top tier fighter manny faced. if you compare cotto has a great jab and right hand but also his left hook and body punching. if cotto lands the way marquez did and i do think he will. how long could manny last. legit responses please I've been saying the same thing.

Yeah dont forget it was at a lower weight...manny can take a harder punch now probably...plus i mean, some shot JMM lands are just perfectly landed...and manny still didnt go down, you gota give credit wen its due
