Ok, Bonafide. Here's what I observe. And please don't ridicule me for this. I have RARELY seen Floyd "on his bicycle" or "running" when he has size parity or a size advantage. I think we agree that Oscar and TaTa were much bigger men, right? Cool. So, please name me the fights - other than those - where Mayweather was on his bicycle for most of the night. Or the fights where he did not put hurt on his opponent. Adelante. Well Floyd was on his bicycle for a good portion of the Chavez fight, and Jesus certainly wasn't bigger than him.

These are both technical counter punching crafty boxers. I cant see either guy hurting the other. It would be stupid for him to say that he's fought better fighters than Mayweather. That would mean that Mayweather is not p4p#1 like JMM claims he is. I'll assume the same as the rest and agree that he has fought better opposition than Mayweather has.

You can't just go by "how many future Hall of Famers...". You have to look at the consistency and the guy coming out of nowhere that you don't expect. The way Pac shocked Barrera, Be honest. How many of you had seen Chris John fight before JMM went to Indonesia? That's the kind of thing that trips you up. The Junior Jones' and Leon Spinks' of the world. A Felix Sturm. The difference with Floyd is that he never took those guys lightly. If there was some guy on the come-up, Floyd derailed that career. Made him look bad. And for that, PBF should be commended. Everybody belittled Floyd "allowing" Baldo to go the distance. But the Vernon Forrest hit TaTa with huge right hands all nightand never made a dent. But the more unbiased, objective and better informed opinion is still that Marquez has faced tougher, better opposition.

The only first ballot Hall Of Famer Floyd's faced is Oscar de la Hoya (not sure if Corrales and Castillo will be). Pacquiao, Barrera, and (possibly) Casamayor are first ballot's HOF and have more skill than anyone Mayweather's ever faced. Barrera is as good a counter puncher as Mayweather. Pacquiao's as fast (feet and hands) or faster than Floyd with more explosive power. JMM has seen everything Mayweather brings to the table. Floyd has never faced a fighter with the high level of counter punching and adaptability. Nice to see how he reacts to it, especially coming off a long layoff. That's why I'm expecting a really good fight. Good post.

No you haven't JMM. Feel confident cuz you got more pride and heart than "Mr boat buyer. But you kiddin yourself sayin you've faced any fighter more talented than him. If he means he's more willin to test himself at this point, JMM is right about that. I think you guys have it out of context. I think JMM was trying to say that the competition he has faced were better than the competition mayweather has faced. Not Mayweather himself.

Hard for me to see Marquez doing the same thing to Corrales or beating a Castillo. Floyd was all wrong for MAB. Would have had his way with him. So I disagree there in regards to competition...

Well I think Chris John is better than a Manfredy, Corely, N'Dou, etc. Maybe he's not a Castillo or Corrales (maybe he is), but he's wasn't just a prospect ont he come up. At least it's what he's proven since then.
