I know Cotto is heavier, but look at them standing next to each other!

We all know Manny is pretty muscular as well, so if those who are picking Cotto say he will win strictly because he is bigger, they should re-evaluate their analysis. Pac is still faster and more aggressive than Cotto.
Manny can take a hell of punch. I think he has nothing to worry about.
These supposed "experts" are wrong here. STYLES make fights-Cotto does NOT have the right style to beat Pacquiao. In recent times Marquez was the only one to do this (but not officially)-why? Because he is a skilled counter puncher, orthodox, with a good straight right.A straight right is a mandatory tool against southpaws! Cotto plants his damn feet when throwing punches.Watch Manny-he moves in and out, side to side,is evasive and will smack Cotto around until the fight is stopped.
Cotto was a hand picked fighter to put Manny on another level and get him another belt in yet another weight class.Look at his last 4 fvcking opponents people-they are left hand dominant (or converted). There is a reason why, because Manny has great success against people who he doesn't have to worry about a strong right hand punishing him.
Cotto is nothing more than another stepping stone for Pacquiao's legacy and is viewed as "damaged goods" or on the down slide of his career, just like Ricky Hatton was,and Oscar De La Hoya (a facade of supposed threatening named fighters that look like stiff competition only on paper or to people who do not assess the sport).Ask yourselves why Manny wouldn't go against Mosely,or ask for the Mayweather fight before Marquez did?I only give Miguel a puncher's chance-and I am not a big Pacquiao fan.
cotto is too big. cotto has a thick as neck, and when they stand facing each other, pac looks like a stick compared to cotto.
Are you for real, Pully? The difference is like Pacquiao & Hatton. IE; not much.
To be honest I'm sick of all this focus on size. It means **** all at the end of the day! Hatton's size made no difference. Oscar's size made no difference. Cotto's size will make no difference.
"Blah blah ****ing blah, Pacquiao is in a world of trouble, blah blah, he doesn't realize what he's gotten himself into, blah blah, I know best because all I see is size and I can't analyze style matchups properly. Blah. Oh, and by the way, Cotto is fookin' massive at 145.
PS: Blah".
ZzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzz
The way I see it:
Cotto makes mistakes which Manny can capitalize on. Leaning in with the head? Dumb. Watch the Clottey fight. Vulnerable to uppercuts. Fights out of an orthodox stance and is a converted southpaw. Well, Manny loves beating the shit out of these guys.
Hatton: left-hand dominant.
Oscar: Converted southpaw.
Cotto: Left-hand dominant / converted southpaw.
There's a pattern there but some people just can't seem to see it. WHY!?
It's pretty obvious he sees flaws and he isn't worried about being outweighed by a few pounds, because boxing isn't about size. It never has been.
I have an older brother who is far bigger (not taller) than me. He probably hits much harder than I do. The problem is he has absolutely no boxing abilty whatsoever, he is slow, and to be honest if we boxed he'd last about 2 minutes... probably not even that long. I'm far, far quicker than he is. My brother's thick neck is no use because I would **** him up double quick.
But the bottom line is this: Manny Pacquiao wouldn't have picked a fight he didn't think he could win.

Probably the 10+ lbs that Cotto will outweigh him in the ring size advantage.
Against a fighter who is moving up in weight, Cotto is the heavier handed. But when did the last time Cotto actually knockout somebody? When i meant KO, i mean out cold.

Yes it will, Cotto is a heavier handed fighter and Cottos strength is a major part!!!
LOL you guys think Pac is fukking Willy pep, he will get hit and youll see the size advantage take his toll!!!!!!!
That's the thing, what we don't know is how Manny will react to Cotto's punches, because he WILL get hit. If he can take 'em, then Cotto has no chance.
Size isn't gonna play a major part.
It better be or the boy Cotto's getting fucked up. If it doesn't play much of a part and Pac can handle MC's power and strength, it'll get ugly for Miguel. A Margarito Remix.

Cotto's straight right hand isn't good enough either. Very important punch against a south paw.
