Now that Bob Arum has talked shit back to UFC/MMA, I wouldn't be surprised if Dana White retaliates and put a superfight card that same night as Pac/Cotto.
I'm imagining Dana might put this card together:
- Silva vs GSP (main-event)
- Lesnar vs Kimbo/Nogueira (co-main event)
Do you think this is even possible? Will Dana White pull the trigger on November 14th?
I think Cotto vs Manny would prpbaly do more in PPV numbers.
UFC got an event in Manchester UK on 14th November anyways.
Hopefully gettin tickets for UFC 105 then come home from that to a house party and watch Cotto vs Manny. It would be an awesome night.

Nah...GSP isn't fighting until January due to an injury and Brock is actually fighting an undefeated heavyweight who's also 6'2-6'3 in Shane Carwin (which should be interesting). The December card is starting to look stacked, but I know Dana's been hearing the rumbling around Vegas for this fight and he's already made it known that Cotto vs Pac is close to a sellout.
His December card is looking like this so far:
BJ Penn vs Diego Sanchez
Clay Guida vs Kenny Florian
Frank Mir vs Chek Kongo
and 2nd Main Event is also rumored to being made too.
But I think Cotto vs Pac just off the strength will do great at both the gate and PPV.
If he did put a GSP/Silva fight, I'd end up buying both but he wouldn't. Also, GSP needs time to bulk up a lot more to even try competing against Silva. The only fight I think that would compete with the Pac/Cotto fight at this moment would be Lesnar/Fedor.
no he wouldnt..both fights would sell great..no 1 would lose any buys..both sports have a faithful fanbase and arnt one in the same
Don't you watch both? Exactly, so you discredit your own point.
I'm sure there are people who watch both and boxing is much more established with a broader fan base. UFC has a lot of loyal dedicated fans but the casual viewer who just wants to see a fight would evaluate the quality of each event and would end up buying Cotto vs. Pac.
The only way the UFC could come close to competing with Pac-Cotto would be if Dana White put Brock Lesnar on the card, and still that might do a million buys. I expect Pac-Cotto to hit about that number.
No on the ufc website on Nov 14th its on overseas event and its Bisping vs Denis Kang? so its a boo ass event but you might ask why because Dana White himself will probably be watching the Cotto/Pacquiao fight that night.
You're right. Penn/Sanchez is on 107 in December.
White aint putting up a big event against Pac/Cotto. He's smarter than that.
Pretty sure Penn/Sanchez is gonna be on Nov. 14.

GSP has no intention of leaving his division to fight Silva.
kimbo/nogueira vs lesnar is a gay fight.
Will Dana White pull the trigger on November 14th?
nope
If he did he would put an L on smeones record. and one of the fighters might not be the same dominance wise after.
The problem with UFC is they only have a handfull of fighters that are very talented those 2 being the number 1 and 2.
dana wouldnt rik it. he needs them to compete with boxing
After this UFC ppv were arent gonna see too many good UFC PPVs for awhile
