De La Hoya vs Vargas they could make because it was a good fight and there was a story behind it, but the others had no story to them. The Trinidad vs Hopkins fight did, but that fight wasn't really exciting more than BHop just schooling Tito the entire fight.
What's the sig from?
Mosley vs Margarito
Vargas vs Mayorga
De La Hoya vs Mayorga
De La Hoya vs Vargas
Trinidad vs Hopkins
De La Hoya vs Vargas they could make because it was a good fight and there was a story behind it, but the others had no story to them and or weren't competetive (for the most part). The Trinidad vs Hopkins fight did, but that fight wasn't really exciting more than BHop just schooling Tito the entire fight.
They should do older fights anyway.
I already remember the build-up, the night of the bout, and aftermath for bouts like DLH-Vargas, Hopkins-Trinidad, Trinidad-Vargas, Gatti-Ward, etc.
I don't need to re-live it, I'd rather see something older.
Many they have to wait 10 more years before they start calling fights Legendary
Beat me to the punch lol...
All those fights HBO did coverage on had stories behind them. There have been great fights since then, but none really had a full package to present a half hour segment on more than you just tuning in that night and witnessing a great fight.
The last huge event to me was Oscar vs Floyd, and Im sorry...but that was not a legendary night (unless you're the Casino owner)
Hopefully they see that it polluted a generation of internet boxing fans with its myths and exaggerations and are fine-tuning it to avoid this in the future.
