All I've been seeing around here is ridiculously blatant dick riding from both sides. Some of the shit I see straight up makes me sick.
So, any of you ladies care to analyze this epic catchweight bout?
I see this being a fast paced fight for the first two round. Both fighters landing some good shots, but Pacquiaos speed doing the better work. I then see the pace slowing down and a boxing match breaking out which will last until the 7th round. Here both will have their moments, and I expect Pac to dart in and out with Cotto trying to time him, and land less, but mor meaningful shots. I then see both getting comfortable and trying to crank in up from the 7th round with Pacquiao still full of stamina getting the better of Cotto really busting him up bad. I then see a clash of heads in the 8th with Cotto getting the worse of it. Cotto begins backing up in the ninth ina fight that could still go either way with Manny in attack mode trying to hurt Cotto. I then see an overconfident Manny walking into a jab off balance and going down, a flash knock down. Manny gets up, Cotto thinks he has him and goes all out, and Manny obliges, and they trade like motherfukkas for 20 seconds with manny langing flush shot after flush shot, catching Cotto with a perfect right hook, similar to the right hook he put Hatton down with, and Cotto wobbles and is out on the feet, but the 9th round bell saves him.
The fight is pretty close with manny slightly ahead starting the 10th, and Manny begins to pull away. At this point Cotto is out of gas, and manny is just circling him darting in and out with punches, Cotto is bloody, swollen and looks finished, similar to Pacquiao vs Oscar round 7. Cotto is hurt multiple times in the 10th but does not go down, and Manny lands something like 40 punches in the round to Cottos 5, a clear 10-8 round. The corner contemplates stopping it, but they allow him out. By this time Cotto is done and Manny takes his time and tees off on Cotto. To the crowds delight just as the ref is about to jump in Cotto explodes with a 4 punch combo and staggers Manny. Cotto senses that it is his last chance and tries to finish Pacquiao while he has the chance. He lands a few more on Pacquiao, and Pac looks ready to go for the first time in the fight. Cotto then makes the mistake of letting his guard down, and tries to rush Pacquiao. he then walks into a overhand left from hell, and falls to the canvas in a heap. The referee sensing Cotto is ot cold doesn't bother to count in, and Pacquiao is declared the winner by kncokout. It then becomes apparent that Pacquiao does not take WW power well and goes down to 140 and defends his title against Marquez.
Pac will start out quick jumping in and out as Cotto struggles to cut the ring off and catch him with the jab.
By around the 3rd or 4th, Cotto is gonna start sticking his jab in Pac's face as Pac darts in. Pac will be slightly more reluctant to dart in and Cotto will begin to have some success cutting the ring off.
Exchanges will happen and with Pac having the superior handspeed, he will get the best of many of them, but Cotto will do enough damage to make his thudding point.
Around the 8th or 9th Cotto will hurt Pac and take him out.
If Cotto can't control Pac's in and out movement with his jab he will lose a lop sided decision or get stopped. The entire fight hinges on that. I'm betting that he uses his jab effectively, and Pac won't have a sufficient plan B.
You think if the fight goes deep Cotto is in trouble? Unless Pacquiao is dominating I don't see that as being the case. If Cotto hasn't been beaten up too much and manages to get Pacquiao in the deep water, I'm not liking Manny's chances.
Manny will def throw a lot of punches in diff. angles
& it will prob hit like 30-40% accuracy
Cotto is not an agile boxer, usually plants his feet where he gets
his power
Cotto gasses in late rounds
Folks try to find the tale of the tape for this two guys and after come back and post again. There is a lot talk about the size different but on night fight you are going to be surprised with Manny measures.
This Pacquiao guy is a creature made for fighting, his speed is and power is a just lethal because the speed is so great that it act like a power enhancer by 3 or 4 time the magnitude it should be for a conventional figher. Plus his arm are so long that he can hit easily even while fighting from the out side.
Prediction ==> Pacquiao wins by way of late stoppage.
This bout will depend on Cotto's chin. Pacquiao catches everyone at the beginning due to his speed. If Cotto survives the early onslaught he will win because he will adapt to Pac and counter him until his lights go out.
Both fighters will throw punches and it will be a draw or one of the fighters will win.
thanks for taking time out of your hopkins-echols masturbation session to enlighten us with your thoughts.
I will offer you my quick analysis:
Cotto is a solid fighter but Pacquio is the p4p king for a reason. At the end of the night Pacquio will be too fast for Cotto and the fight will be stop to save the Puertorican pride from unecessary punishment. Dont be surprise if the next day after the fight you start looking at news about possible Cotto retirement just like predecessors Barrera, Morales, Diaz, DLH, Hatton between others no-name that nobody care.
i cant help but say "co sign" :lol1:
this is EXACTLY how i feel. except for the last paragraph but everything else i wholeheartedly agree with.
Its going to be an interesting one thats for sure.
One thing I hope doesn't happen is that if Pacquiao wins his accomplishment here is downgraded.
This would be an amazing victory if Pacquiao could pull it off. These guys are two of my favourites, but I have decided to pull for Cotto in this one, mostly because he is the dog and I think he deserves this win, but if Manny wins - wow, just wow.
Pac will try to box, no way he would brawl
Cotto would throw mean jabs to keep Pac from moving
Cotto should stop Pac within 6 or else he will be in trouble

Its a pick 'em fight IMO.
Pacquiao is going to realise pretty much immediately that he has never been in there against anyone anywhere near as strong as Cotto.
The key to the fight is whether Cotto can deal with Manny's speed, particularly the straight left. If he can, the fight is as good as over and Cotto is winning by knockout.
Personally I think we will know how it is going to go after 1 or 2 rounds. Either Manny is going to cause some serious damage early and show Cotto who is boss or Cotto is going to come to terms with Pacquiao's speed and explosiveness, adjust effectively, and end up taking it away from Pacquiao late in the fight due to his strenght advantage.
If I had to pick an outcome it would be Cotto by TKO, probably some time after the 9th. Definately a very even fight though in my mind.
One thing is for sure - if Pacquiao manages to blow Cotto out of there he is an incredible, incredible fighter, and probably the best I have ever seen fight.
