Chad Dawson v. Tavoris Cloud

yea but do u really think he has that type of hard punch though? i mean Woods was a punching bag for twelve and he didnt ko him and was landing almost at will, Clouds is strong and punches hard, but not as hard as his recordindicates in my opinion, and Chad has been down but he gets back up, Adamek was 31-0 whn Chad beat him he beat Tarver twice and had a brawl with Johnson and beat a tough Harding prior to all these fights, i dont think Cloud could beat him, ATLEAST not in this stage, lets say time does go by, Dawson is only gonna get better himself.

Dawson has a shaky chin and Cloud has power and throws a lot of punches. I think Dawson would be winning until Cloud caught up with him and knocked him out. Dawson will duck him though....again.

Cloud should defend against a mediocre opponent next, maybe jefflacy an easy bout to get more exposure then go after chad, but chad's gonna whoop him.

He just went in there and did his job. And on top of that there are not that many young guys at 175. Cloud wanted to fight Dawson, but Dawson went in another direction because the fight was not marketable to HBO.

Did woods get ko'd? No, but he got spanked for 10 out of 12 rds if not 11 out of 12. He got tagged a bit though but he almost dropped Woods several times.

I do think Dawson is a better technical fighter than Cloud. But the problems that Dawson faces going into this fight is a power disadvantage, a chin disadvantage (might be equal, but Cloud's power pushes that advantage in his favor), and a stamina and work rate disadvantage. I think those things Cloud brings to the table is the reason why he poses a threat to Dawson. Dawson has good ring intelligence and unlike Woods he puts snap his punches and throws meaningful combinations. Dawson is not a power hitter, but he certainly has enough power to keep Cloud honest. Also Dawson's stamina and work rate isn't bad, and it's been iffy in some fights, but Dawson is undefeated and he corrects his mistakes and does enough to win. As for Dawson's chin being bad, he went through the fight of his life against Glen Johnson and wasn't even knocked down once. Dawson's chin isn't bad, he's tough. Also Cloud still hasn't been tested yet, so how does Cloud have a chin advantage?

Why do you want to see a young boxer fight shot veterans like Tarver and Jones? He should fight Johnson or Dawson next. To Johnson's credit, he said he would fight Cloud if he gets past Dawson. Can't say the same about Dawson.

I'm more intersted with Cloud -Tarver/RJJ, Cloud needs a Big name ti become popular. Dawson is not a ticket. If he beat Dawson, it so easy to discredit the win. They can call Dawson overrated. im not hating buddy, i said he's an exciting fighter, he has a nice style, but Dawson is way to skilled for ur boy Cloud, dont deny it, if u do then u dont know boxing. Dawson & Cloud would be a good fight but I'd have to go with Cloud, hopefully they'll build it up though and we'll get to see more of Cloud b4

Cloud is forreal, and some people are really hating on him for no reason. Dawson does beat him tho just based on more natural talent. Cloud has been fun to watch and Im a fan, people should just appreciate good fights instead of picking apart fighters.

Dawson's jab will be in his face all night. But if he gets lazy Cloud has a chance. But I favor Chad by a wide UD

Cloud shipped a lot of punches in that fight...against a shot Clinton Woods. In my opinion, Dawson will absolutely embarrass him, in a lopsided fight. Cloud is very, very, average. The next Lacy.
