Didn't use to like Malignaggi...

i think i'm the only one that doesn't mind his flashy pretty boy image. it makes him stand out from the crowd and with a KO rating like his, he needs all the extra attention he can get.

Yea I like him as a fighter. And I'm usually not one to judge dudes appearances. But his hair and shit does tend to annoy me. Just be ****in normal haha.

...and in a way I still don't. His flat out weird-ness, the crazy knee high purple socks/flashy purple trunks falling around his ass, faggy haircut, etc... But after last Saturday's card, he not only proved he can fight, and move, and honestly flat out kick Juan Diaz's ass, but after the fight he spoke up. Not in a whiney, victimized kind of way - but in a way that's like "hey, I told you this was gonna happen, it did happen, and it ****ing sucks." He didn't take anything from Diaz, or make it personal - just spoke his mind and said what he felt. Pretty solid dude. what fight did you watch?

he complimented the audience even though they booed him so much and disrespected him. Same for the Hatton fight. He knew he'd had a poor fight and everyone was shitting on him, but he still complimented Hatton and his rather hostile crowd. Spirited lad.

Never been a huge fan of the guy, but I always respected him. He was the truth in the fight and on the mic in the Diaz fight.

I always thought he was a sloid dude. Same type of interview after every fight.I like the fact that he is a boxing fan.

Pretty solid dude. i dont know whats up with him now. he's gotten more...creative...with his appearance in the ring. from buddy's barber shop in the second ndou fight to whatever the hell he was wearin when he fought diaz. idk... but i like the way he spoke up. Most people might have backed off on the accusation leading up to the fight because many would view them as having an excuse ready but afterwards he was clearly right in bringing it up (as proved by the crazy scoring) and then he basically rubbed it back in everyone else's face by bringing it to the attention of everyone (incase we were blind and didnt notice on our own) and arguing he won. but he did it in all class kind of way. sure he could have said diaz was nothing and he did this and that to him and yada yada yada. but he said it more than once that he wasnt taking anything away from diaz or the fans in texas....just the fuked up juding and corrupt commission. he put it well. i also liked the way nate campbell handled it in the ring with the california commission. you can hear him in the background saying, "commissioner, you know i never complained about any decisions but this is wrong!" and he repeated it like 3 times...haha. im sure that was a much toned down version of what he really wanted to say but i felt he had a legit claim so no harm done. i just hate it when fighters act that way when they are clearly wrong. they just look stupid then.

I tend to agree with you. He gained my respect with that fight.
