I was reading an article by Dan Rafael and he was talking about how Trinidad and Roy Jones finally met. And he referred to Trinidad as completely shot. In my eyes I don't think he was ever "shot". Yes he is out of his prime but i think he retired due to losing to B-Hop. Not from being shot. He probably got a bit discouraged and lost his drive to fight.
If Tito were to train again don't you think he could beat a fighter like Jermain Taylor? Or maybe even Carl Froch? I mean I know slick/defensive and fast boxers give Trinidad problems. But couldn't he still be a force even today?

he lost thoroughly to a shot roy jones.....what do you think?
Im sure if Tito came back he could fight some Lame Middleweights.. but taylor, froch, Pavlik, all the big names would destroy him and if he was to fight today. in his prime different story.. but i hope he doesnt fight again, enjoy his retirement.. to me he's still the greatest regardless.. and yes bhop made him loose his hunger for the sport.. It happens i guess.. but i still respect him as a ATG.. if you dont then you clearly have no Boxing IQ and are a hater..
He's shot but can compete against B-level oppositions. I believe that he could beat up some good guys like David Lopez, Sylvester. He would competitive against Pavlik.
He looked goof against Roy Jones Junior.
tito's inactivity was what shot his ass.that was his fault.he lost the hunger after his first loss.he's done.he's been since before the winky loss.there is no way that even the tito that fought hopkins would get humiliated like winky did to him.that's because of inactivity.the muscle memory was gone.
i grew up watching tito and hes one of my all time favorites but i think hes done the moment he got beat by bhop
I wholeheartedly agree I grew up watching him too and have to say that his best days are well behind him. The man brought a certain intensity to the sport that only a handful of fighters had, and even if you were a Tito hater you still respected the guy. So I second your reply.
Peace.

If He can make 160 hes knocking out alot of people at 160.
this is just a general discussion. No haters or nuthuggers.
his losses to B-Hop/Winky/Roy Jones seem more like styles that were difficult for him than him being shot
