After all, he does have about a three weight division advantage over Marquez.
If Floyd jumps on his bike and runs from lil' Marquez it would be pretty sad.
If all bonus objectives are complete, Mayweather get's 5% of recognition from BoxingScene.
You are correct, if he doesnt win by ko, he wont get any recognition cause he CHOSE to fight the lil guy and couldnt put him away.........and if he loses (which i doubt) then he might as well retire............................again
Floyd is 32. Age is irrelevant in this fight.
So you really think that there is no difference between being 32 or 36 in boxing? It is hardly irrelevant. :nonono:
If floyd runs from jmm that would be disgraceful.
Floyd has to KO jmm, same as cotto has to KO pac. If they don't that's a disgrace.

If he doesnt kmarqueztfo, then he's got a sickness(bitchassness). He SHOULD be able to wipe the floor with Marquez (although i want Marquez to win...fighting a cat moving up almost 3 weight divisions is pus.sy and saying he beat manny twice is ignorant....straight up

Floyd engaged more when he fought under welter so we will see if he reverts back or continues with his adopted style at 147. I think it all depends on how strong Floyd feels after the layoff. If the weight does make him feel a bit weaker than usual then he may opt to be cerebral from the outside. From listening to him talk he appears to want to make this fight exciting and may be planning to try to go for the KO. That could change though once in the ring depending on how things go.
i agree with AssasinKing .. its the way he fights.. from the outside.. he hardly ever stand in and trades hard shots.. if he does get rocked with a hard hit from marquez i expect the bicycle for the rest of the night .. and floyd cruises to the UD
i agree with your post.
I think floyd will be willing to trade a bit more since of the size advantage he has over JMM but if JMM starts getting the better of him in close (ie. winning rounds over floyd!) or if floyd gets popped with a good one and his balance starts to go a little screwy then i expect him to hope on the bike and treat him more like he would any other opponent.
JMM is a GREAT body puncher though so floyd may not even take the risk of allowing JMM the chance to land that perfect body shot.
time will tell. i just expect a little more brawl in mayweather's gameplan (or as much brawl as a floyd mayweather could do at least).
the probable outcome is mayweather via close decision.
however i will root for JMM. he's a good guy and nearing the end of his career it would be great to see him get one last major win on his record.
The best chance Marquez has is for Floyd to meet him in the center of the ring and fight, since it will allow Marquez to utilize his amazing counter punching ability and work the ribs. Floyd has to keep his distance and make Marquez come to him.

He has no reason to run. Marquez doesn't have the pop to hurt him or the speed to catch him. Floyd knows he can stop Marquez if he puts in the effort. Floyd will win by knockout.
