AP Reports: This past Saturday 08/22/2009, a Brooklyn man was robbed in Houston Texas at the Toyota Center by 3 blind men!.. If you don't like Paulie, then do it for the good of judging in the sport of Boxing. Lou Dibella is launching an internet campaign to get Paulie a rematch with Juan Diaz. I'm not sure what good it will do but spread the link! Facebook, twitter etc..:

man what a commotion....if u watch the fight without sound since lennox and max were all on paulie's jock u will see what i saw and many boxing scribes who i respect saw....a fight that was close could of gone either way but i had diaz winning 115-113....yeah paulie threw 300 more punches or so but notice most land on the gloves and both ended up landing about the same and of course with diaz landing the harder shots.......i also respect diaz for not saying this but fawkin paulies hair was a third weapon in there....u notice diaz wince whenever paulie would go head in and rub that sh*t on diaz face.....this was no robbery....you could actually see paulie turn his backpeddling into a full sprint whenver diaz would close the gap.....IMO....
ofcourse he deserves it. it was a decent fight but really who would want to see this again? it was a pointless fight to begin with.
I think Malignaggi and Dibella know Diaz is one of the few big name opponents he can very likely defeat. I have trouble coming up with many others he can beat.. atleast at 140 lbs.
I also think he lost to N'dou in their 2nd fight.
Between the two of those, he was clearly slipping. He looked like an altogether different fighter against diaz than in Engoudju, N'dou 2.
If it weren't for Paulie being talkative about the judging befordhand, this wouldn't have been much of a main event in the first place. Controversy really helped build this fight.
it was suppose 2 b on da mayweather-marquez fight but juan wanted more time 2 train
lol a lot of haters. anyways, it won't be on the cotto-pac undercard because cotto-pac is promoted by TopRank so it has very slim chances. Paulie whooped Juan in an 18 ft ring, at a catch weight, with some dumbass judges and a referee.
Paulie just needs to move on. He fought Diaz in his hometown, at a catch weight, with judges favoring against him and won the fight. This was a fight that Diaz was supposed to win, but it back fired. People were saying Paulie was going to KO'd in 6 and proved everyone wrong. He has nothing else to prove. I think he'll have some opportunities coming soon to fight Khan or Bradley, he needs to to move on and not look back. He blew up GBP's spot :boxing:
Im glad Dibella is on page with what i was thinking.
Maybe taking it to NY is unfair because if paulie were to win then diaz and company would probably pull the "it was the judging card" if it were even remotely possible to argue that.
i think that should be avoided and it should be held in a territory not favorable to either fighter with judges not favorable to either fighter...not one from each hometown and another...ALL 3 should be some somewhere else.
infact why not just do it in vegas as a co-feature to a PPV fight? it would work well as the co-feature to pacman v. cotto. infact that would make that PPV EXCELLENT and WELL worth the $50. how many times do you have two fights worthy of being headliners on a PPV. not very often.
perfect selling point. then you have the choice of VERY experienced judges who are USED TO scoring big vegas title fights. someone with EXPERIENCE.
of course im for a rematch.
only way i'd say forget it is if a bigger offer becomes available first because in a weird way the pressure is more on diaz than paulie to be honest. many are viewing diaz as the loser so diaz might have to take the fight or live with the shadow of doubt his "hometown judges" created.
Yeah. My first thought was that this is more of an undercard fight then a main event.
