Publicity wise, it couldn't have turned out any better. More people have watched the post fight interview than would have watched the fight if he had won.

Yeah true... its put more highlight on it and he still might have a chance to get some big fights.
It might have helped his career, but it does boxing as a sport no favors. It just shows me how political of a sport boxing has become. I used to love watching these wars but when you have outcomes like this all of the time just because you have so much invested in a fighter, it just gets ridiculous. There have been so many awful decisions over the last 5 years or so that something needs to be done. Our once beloved sport is becoming way to corrupt.
well i agree.
except for the fact i think it exposes the courruption by paulie really speaking out in the post fight interview. bringing to light that he was wronged and seemed to have enough proof to make 80 something or 90 something percent of the US to believe him (according to a poll on ESPN where 80 or 90 percent of the voters agreed paulie was wronged).
so it makes him come out like a winner (i dont think too many people really believe in their heart he lost or lost fairly to say the least) and thats why there is talk of him fighting bradley. if diaz just knocked him out in the 8th round or whatnot we wouldnt be having this conversation right?
and it really has brought courruption to the limelight. yes fighters alledge being robbed often. but not to many make as big of a ruckus about it as paulie does. he put his heart on his sleeve and preached.
and the fact he alledged it would happen before the fight ever took place and it just so happened that one of the judges he accused gave him the worst score of them all really does make him look like the good guy in the situation.
so i think for his career and boxing as a whole overall it was a brilliant night for both of them. paulie probably didnt even realize it though.

you mean the controversial loss does more for him....
in any case I agree... if malignaggi won, I'd be like "wtf he couldn't dominate a midget?" but since he lost, I'm like "wtf he got robbed".
I know, it sucks, and it won't even matter that he spoke his opinion. Hell, they may even decide to reprimand him or something for his honesty of what goes on in todays boxing world
why is everyone upset, it is because of the 118-110 score or because Paulie lost. Had all of the scores been 115-113 would we be having this discussion or if the fight was a split decision lost, would Paulie argue the decision then. To me a lost is a lost, whether you lose by a wide margin or split decision just accept it and move on.
dude i would be pissed if that happen to me it was his emotions after the fight but the fact that he spoke up before the fight would bring light to this and still got robbed

Interviews where fighters keep it real and let their heart speak strike a stronger nerve than standard shit talk. Paul had a right to bitch about that decision, and boxing fans most likely took notice.
