The guy spars with heavies in DC and even Arreola said he hit Williams flush in sparring and Williams did not blink. It was on max boxing a few months back. His chin is like Hagler's. He also has tons of heart (see the 12th round of Margarito fight) and unbelievable stamina. He is a better in fighter than Pavlik and is much more athletic and diverse. His body attack and threat of both hands (his right hand is the best of any southpaw in recent history, ask Lederman, Merchant or Lennox Lewis) will be too much for Pavlik. Paul can out box him, or come forward and blow him out the water. Trust me. Do not be surprised if this fight looks like the 2nd Quintana one only a few rounds later. My question is, after Paul destroys Pavlik, what will the excuse be? "Pavlik became an alcoholic, he looked off" etc. Paul makes great fighters look average and he will always be hated on. The physical advantages will shorten for PWill, though he still has a crazy reach advantage but Pavlik will get inside enough times and eventually put him down.

Quintana can't really bang as much as Pavlik though? Who has Williams faced that has a big punch? Pavlik is not a southpaw that uses angles and counterpunches. It will be a combination of straight lefts and right hooks. Look at the combo he knocked out Kolle with. A right hook to the body, head, then a straight left. In my opinion Marg edged out Williams by a round but I can see a draw or possibly a one round victory for Williams. Pavlik is going to trouble Williams like Margarito. However i don't think Pavlik has the chin and heart of Margarito. I'm rooting for Williams but won't be surprised if Pavlik wins it.

Pavlik was getting hit flush with all of Bernard Hopkins' shots, ten pounds above his comfortable weight class, while he was suffering from bronchitis, and still didn't go down. Now I'm not saying that Williams isn't tough either, but he's going to have to do better than what he did against Wright, because Pavlik is not a counter puncher and he packs a punch. Margarito, a puncher, gave Williams trouble late, but Pavlik is much larger than Margarito.

Williams is still pretty leaky on defense. Pavlik is a pretty accurate puncher. Hopkins is just a defensive master and major spoiler in the ring. If Williams throws 100 punches a round, he's going to get hit with 20 in return. And that's not a good thing because Pavlik is still a big puncher. I believe Williams has a good chin, but he hasn't proven it against strong Middleweights yet.

Not sure that is the case. We saw Marg hurt Williams. Paul will certianly engage, but he would be wise to do it from the outside and be aggressive in spurts. He does not want to get caught by Pavlik, who has excellent power but limited boxing skills.
