pleased or should i add some more? this is just from this thread btw
I've even seen some Euros create aliases and pretend they were American and start dissing Europeans. It's actually insane and I've caught a couple being slick like that.
Look through this thread, all you see are Brits accusing Americans of being biased even though the responses they are reading are based on facts (or opinion) but not nationality. GROW THE FUKK UP.
Its close.
On one hand we have Toney, a fat slob who got schooled a bunc of times and on the other we have calzaghe, who never lost and dominated his division for a decade.
But that said, toney is american so its too close to call
idiots raceist self race hateing idiots. we get it already, calzage was great and he is:lame: white there 4 you must hate him.
You are a muppet, American fighters have never wanted anything to do with the british smw's since Jones ducked Benn after seeing him destroy Mclellan, and its been like that evere since.
Benn, Eubank and Calzaghe were all ducked by your americans, the only ones who fought were Mclellan who got beaten into being disabled, and Lacy who has never been the same mentally since calzaghe raped him on international tv.
YOu cant blame joe that your guys were too scared to fight him.
What are you on?? Most whites don't like Calzaghe, which whites? If you mean American ones, youre right. But thankfully there are plenty others who do like him.
its funny how people always criticise euro fighters for not fighting abroad when americans never fight out of the u.s! u can say the moneys not there but every fat american heavyweight thats gone germany quits on his stool!! why should calzaghe of went to the u.s when he sold 50,000 tickets in the u.k? ive never seen B-hop go anywhere to challenge!!
LOL @ the Toney loons.
Calzaghe all day, Toney lost to B-Level and bums. I dont count his lose to Roy as he was dead at the weight but Triberi or a way over the hikll McCullum anyone?
This thread gives American fight fans a bad name.
James Toney obviously. He's American and totally more gangsta.
Dear o dear.
Would help if you was around during the bout or build up, utter fabrications.
It was well known McClellon was at his peak condition for Benn.
An idea nutjob.

What a load of rubbish, i hate 3yo American boxing fans who know jack about the fight try telling whats what.
GOON!
Jesus u yanks are crazed,
I`m outti this place is silly!
In boxing the British fans on here are on the whole are fairly unbiased.
Still waiting for the many are answering "Coz he's not American" statements made by Brits.
pleased or should i add some more? this is just from this thread btw
Utter goon
Lost to a way over the hill McCallum.
yet another guy Calzaghe refused to fight but Toney did. Toney ended up beating him too, Mccallum was still a damn good fighter then too. You Calzaghe bandwagon riders arel ike a sickness, none of yall know shit.
What I mean is boxing not other sports. And I mean it on Calzaghe fans. To be honest, I want to ask why they cant elaborate why they choose Calzaghe. I already did mine so why the couldnt?

You go into the limey lounge there is plenty of credit for Americans and others from outside the U.K.
Complete rubbish.

In here on NBS. There are many threads about that including this. I just couldnt dig it.

Many are answering "Coz he's not American"? When and where?
When you say "many" are you talking about the British fans on here?

is this a joke or what?!?!? :lol1:......James does EVERYTHING in the ring better than Joe.....this is crazy!!!.....James is hands down a much GREATER fighter than Joe......talent wise their not even close!!!
From my observation, its the opposite. Many are answering "Coz he's not American". Just like Assasin said, they cant explain why Joe is a better fighter so they change the subject.

I strongly disagree with that comment.
Yes you get Brits/ Europeans that hate on American boxers sometimes I think it is because of the hate towards American fans.
A lot of British boxing fans would claim that their favourite fighters are infact American or non-British.

ofcourse.
i just think its funny since there are far more brits who refuse to give americans credit than there are americans who refuse to give europeans credit. yet these brits keep saying americans dont give them credit.

Some Brits. Not all of us are bias like that.
ofcourse.

its all they can say. obviously there are brits who know there boxing, but the ones who dont just say yanks this and americans that. look thru the thread, so many who dont know jack shit about boxing so all they say is "joe doesnt get credit cuz hes not american" they cant reason and explain why he should get more credit than toney (nobody can cuz he shouldnt). so they just fall back on the europeans dont get credit excuse :bottle:
i mean anytime i say something bad about a european fighter its cuz im american, the fact that i acctually isnt american doesnt matter. then they just go away cuz thats all they can say since there boxing knowledge is so limited.
so am i (half, and half caribbean).
its funny how brits accuse americans of being biased even though they are clearly about a million times more biased themselfs. the simple fact that they dismiss all praise to american fighters simply cuz they are american. then they say americans dont give europeans credit
Some Brits. Not all of us are bias like that.
The McCallum Toney fought wasn't faded nor was he old. I think maybe you should watch these fights. While I don't know if he'd beat a bigger Calzaghe Mike McCallum - even the version that fought Toney - was an excellent fighter, a HOF'er. It's quite a scalp for Toney. To go along with the rest of his resume it certainly trumps Calzaghe's.
agreed. cazlaghe mightve been bigger but he still didnt have the pop to faze mccallum. mccallum would put a real hurt on calzaghe especially to the body. calzaghe is just bigger and has better workrate. but hes to sloppy to beat any top fighter whos reflexes arent shot. mccallum was way too skilled and smart for calzaghe. mccallum over calzaghe TKO11

GOON!
please.. i know jack shit about the fight? i watched it half a doussin times and followed mcclellans career, anyone can see he wasnt at his best. emanuel steward himself said it was hard keeping gerald in shape after he beat jackson cuz he got overconfident and didnt want to train or eat right. he also said he knew mcclellan was in bad shape for the benn fight.
and thats just his training. its a fact damage was done to his brain in the jacksons fight which later forced the stoppage in the benn fight.
i need to listen to facts and be objective? u are the one who denies things that are common knowlegde. and u are the one who cares about nationality. u are the one who bring it up all the damn time. its clear u like so many other brits clearly dislike americans.
ffs u call americans biased but u cant have a boxing conversation without bringing up americans not knowing shit or american fighters being overrated in general just cuz they are american.
im not american! im caribbean and european and i can say form a objective standpoint brits are a million times more biased, and overrate their fighters a billion times more than americans.
u hear euro trash sometimes from americans but bitching about the states is the only thing most of u brits ever do.
Lets be realistic here, the McCallum that Toney faced could not keep up with Calzaghe's pace for 12 rounds, he would have had early sucsess before gassing out due to the high pace and lost due to calzaghe stealing rounds with higher work rate.
I'm not saying prime McCallum would lose but the faded and old McCallum that toney faced sure as hell would have.

McCallum. u dont even know his name how u gon know how he was as a fighter? and even at that stage of his career mccallum would easily dispose of lacy and kessler at 168. and although he would struggle somewhat he would beat calzaghe too.Lets be realistic here, the McCallum that Toney faced could not keep up with Calzaghe's pace for 12 rounds, he would have had early sucsess before gassing out due to the high pace and lost due to calzaghe stealing rounds with higher work rate.
