1. Why do yall think cotto weighing in at 145, is unfair???
2. Why shouldnt the belt be on the line???
3. How do you see the fight going???
my answers
1. it isnt unfair, cotto will still out-weigh pac by 10-15lbs. The only reason dlh was dehydrated, is cuz dlh waited til after the unofficial weigh-in(the night of the fight) to rehydrate.
2. The belt should be on the line, cuz cotto is the champ. to me cotto not putting the belt on the line, shows team cotto is worried about him losing.
3. I see Pac winning an UD. puts pressure on cotto all night, and cotto wont be able to handle pacs speed well

I guess my problem is that boxing is a give and take. they BOTH VERBALLY agreed on it being a 145/ NON-TITLE match and PACMAN not cotto wanted it changed to a title fight. Cotto said, ok with title fight but let me get 147. I'll give you title fight and you let me(cotto) fight at 147?
well let me explain this to you, since i studied a lot of this for about 7-8 years
the body gets used to what you do for 21 days (3 weeks)
de la hoya was at 145-147 pounds A MONTH before the fight... while training
when one tries to rehydrate after being dehydrated for such a long time, it's literally impossible to do so. he must have tried it the day before the fight. he even used IV the day of the fight, but his body rejected the fluids
there was no way that ODLH could withstand physically what it takes to go down to 147. he was too old and too much of a part time fighter to do that, and he paid the price
what i don't understand is why NOBODY told him that he shouldn't go down to 145 a month before the fight. that shit's unreal
intresting
i only had to rehydrate a couple lbs. and it was easy for me. just ate pasta w/ some pediolyte. and a lot of water.

3. How do you see the fight going???
I don't
It should
Cotto by KO
You also forgot to mention that DLH is 5"10-11" and hasn't made that weight in almost 10 years...
dude come on, that aint no legit excuse. if dlh started hydrated as soon as the weigh in was over he could of came in the ring at 160.
but he waited til the unofficial weigh in(around 3 hours before the fight) to reydrate it. Dlh did that so he didnt outweigh pac by so much, but it backfired as you saw what happen
1. Why do yall think cotto weighing in at 145, is unfair???
It is fair up to the point that the title is on the line.
2. Why shouldnt the belt be on the line???
Because WWs don't challenge other WWs for titles at catch weights. If you want the title, fight at the accepted norms of the WW division and roll the dice. Otherwise pack up and go south to LWW.
3. How do you see the fight going???
I favor Cotto to win, but it's probably riskier for him if the fight ends up (as it likely will) at the 145 catch weight.
TS not to try and jack your thread, but there is like 100 threads on the subject, and this questions have been answer like 100 million times in the past 3 days.
:hijacked:
j/k. sorry i have been on here for the last 4 days and havent noticed any. answer the question
But 145 is not the weight limit.
That's like a girl letting you bone her but not letting you go all the way up in her. Like her saying you can do me but you can only stick the tip in.
