MMA fighters aren't written off after a loss because in MMA any fighter can lose by one lucky punch at any time regardless of the skill level. Most of the "exciting" MMA fights are when guys stand up and trade. Which as a boxing fan is almost gutwrenching to watch. The boxing skill level is so far behind it's not funny. Being that any fighter can get blasted out at any given time, there will never be that same feeling of dramatics caused by two great boxers finally clashing. The build up to a big boxing match is far more exciting then that of an MMA card. And i love MMA. I don't find much skill in their amatuerish punching abilities but i do enjoy watching the chess match of jiu jitsu. To clear up the question of what's more exciting, imagine professional boxers wearing 4 oz gloves. Talk about brutality!

I watch both sports pretty religiously and 103 doesn't interest me much. I'll watch it, but would never miss PBF-JMM for it. Especially not since the undercard is shaping up nicely.

Cole Miller and keep in mind, UFC doesn't do 24/7 type promotion for cards even of this magnitude The UFC ****ed up big time when they let Fedor sign elsewhere. A fight versus Lesnar would have been able to easily outsell Mayweather-Marquez.

Both times a far smaller fighter moving up in weight to challenge a bigger fighter. The only difference is that Floyd will not have nearly the weight advantage Cotto will have on fight night.

Thats not a big card at all. I thought Franklin was suppose to fight Hendo in a rematch. Cro cop is past his prime and I don't see people ordering this card over the Mayweather fight unless they get another main event I used to think the same way, but after seeing the UFC's numbers just off regular one main event cards they've had this and last year, I see this one doing real good as well. One thing about UFC fans in general, they buy the product off GP (as a businessman, that's all you can hope and pray for). It also helps when you have Network TV helping out your promotion.

floyd gets better rateings, like he said JMM has a lot of backing in the mexico community and is mexicos top fighter, and theyre fighting on that weekend or watever that is a bix boxing weekend or some shit. i think you all will be surprised to see floyd get better numbers So the reason why Floyd will do better is that he's piggybacking off of Marquez fame and fighting on a national holiday.
