It's sad to see James Toney today. I guess that fight is a masterpiece. He was like 135 Floyd at that time. Great defense. If he could only retains the body he has on that fight. He could have been one of the greatest.

that poor guy Barkley.. but thats what happens if u dont take care of ur money.. Toney.. he is kinda underrated. i wonder if he still has something left to become a HW champ or something.. There are many champions who suffered the same fate as Barkley. SRR died poor too.

He was crazy vs Barkley. The kind of combinations he threw were ridiculous. Not even Mayweather could throw those type of combos with that speed. Burger king got to him I think Floyd could do that too. He just need to have the balls.

its sad that a fighter like barkley who beat tommy hearns twice went on to lose eleven more fights after this before calling it quits...this article shows how after boxing he ended up back right where he came from without a dime to his name http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/25/sports/25barkley.html

Toney was awesome in that fight, i watched the Nunn fight yesterday, he was badass. the Jirov fight.. Holyfield.. Ruiz.. he put up awesome performances, i still need to get the Barkley fight, he was really kickass. the work ethic.. yea.. his chin was amazing too man, i've never seen him rocked ever at all!

Put on Barkley-Hearns 1 next. Watch the Blade's biggest triumph! LOL, you know I could never watch those fights? Its pathetic I know but Hearns was one of those guys I have just hated to watch lose. I think Tommy is the reason I don't like Sugar Ray.

Yep, my favourite Toney fight of all. Even better than the Nunn and Jirov fights. He was incredible in that fight, very close to perfection.
