Did anyone else notice that the clock was messed up when briggs knock down sergi. the clock stayed at 26 seconds until the ref started the action again
Carl Thompson- Thompson had been on the end of a vicious beating for a whole 9 rounds. The BBC commentators on the night, Jim Neilly and Colin McMillan, were calling for Carl's retirement saying he was finished, taking this beating needlessly and that the fight should have been stopped a long time ago- and for a long time they were probably right.
In the middle of the 9th the supremely confident Rothman was going through his repertoire of punches, catching Thompson with every shot. Thompson looked shot, Rothman began to showboat and continued to pulverise Thompson, every shot more painful then the last. Rothman then forced Thomson on to the ropes and delivered a combination of sickening blows. Thompson had nowhere to go, the referee looked at Thompson ready to stop the fight. Somehow Thompson got away from the ropes and forced Rothman into the middle of the ring
then this happend:
I don't care what anyone says. Steele was 100% correct with that call. Taylor may have been winning the fight on the scorecards, but JCC beat Taylor up. His face at the end of the fight was a total mess. If Steele had let it continue Taylor could have been killed, and thats no exageration when you see the condition Taylor is in now. Its a disgrace that he's still allowed to fight!
Fukk the call Bully. I meant what JCC did was impressive. I agree Taylor got robbed on the call.
And I dunno if it'd be considered a comeback KO, but Maskaev-Rahman 2 was a surprisingly good HW fight, and Oleg did rally to finish Rahman in the last rd. HBO had him up, but I dunno about the official judges.
I think they had him up bya point, or a draw.
Fukk that shit Mangler. Steele was an asshole for stopping that fight. Two seconds left. Fukk that shit. Taylor had that fight won.

No Steele did the right thing in 2 second Chavez could of landed some more damaging blows. We all know that taylor was not the same after the chavez fight, why would you want him to continue those last seconds.
No way Chavez would have reached him in two seconds, and it is not like Taylor was stumbling around. Fukk Steele for that shit.
If a man gets up, and is more or less steady on his feet, let the damn fight continue.

Andrade-Bute,yeah I know Bute got the official win,but everyone knows the ref was as bias as they come and he should have been fair cause Bute may have won anyway!!
yeah true that.... but i dont argue with the call... the ref can't and shouldn't pay attention to the clock/bell.... he cant be thinking "well he can make it a couple more seconds"

Nothin beats JCC-Taylor. I thought the call was wrong by Steele, but it was a crucial comeback by Julio.
