Just seems too simple for pac to win a fight against a good fighter just because of his speed, and with all the boxing pundits saying pac will win i just have a feeling we may see another upset in '09
Dont ask me how, just a gut feeling
i have a sneaky feeling that old miguel cotto is going to shock the world and beat pac man. Dont get me wrong i wouldnt be surpirsed if pacman danced rings around cotto for 12 rounds, but i have a feeling that the last 2 fights tha pacman had have made him seem way better than he is. I just think cotto is to live and a very strong welterweight with a great heart and good chin and i just think he'll walk manny down and break his body apart and slowly break pacmans heart and the ref will stop it. Remember cotto out boxed shane mosley and took his punches, and there is no way in hell pac man hits harder than mosley and isnt that much faster.
come on cotto!!!!!!!!!!
cotto's punches, IMO, will hurt PAC...he needs to establish some major body work on PAC early...the question is how efficient will be in landing on the quicker opponent...he'll have to exchange 1 for 3 when workin the ribs...that just comes with fighting someone with fast hands from an unorthodox stance
its how he takes those 3, that's the question...if they dont faze him then we've got a big-time brawl on our hands
but if he doesn't take them well, i expect PAC to turn up the pace and make it his type of shootout...miguel's stamina will be exploited if he's unable to handle the power because Freddie would have PAC go into highlight reel mode
I have a feeling that if Pac can take Cotto's shots, and that's a big IF, the fight will be similar to the DLH fight in that he'll use the early rounds to box and be very very careful, and then around the 8th round he'll start to go after Cotto. Boy would I love to see a "highlight reel" mode :)
LMFAO!!! didn't even notice that...'no mas' in a welterweight bout where both came in under the limit :D It's bad but at least there is a rematch...lol
leonard-hagler was at MW
perhaps leonard-hearns when they fought at WW but i think that one ended in the 13th or 14th...i forget
speaking of which, did YOU know Duran-Leonard 1 both weighed in at 145? and it part 2, they both came in at 146?Makavelli??? Don't bring up "no mas" to cotto fans. yOU ARE WRONG....LOL

What welterweight fight back in the old days was like that? Leonard vs hagler?
um its an upset...EVERYBODY and their welfare grandmas is picking Pacquiao to win...IF Cotto wins..how is it not an upset..
i get it..if Cotto wins, who cares hes big thats why..but if Pac wins OMG OMG OMG HES THE BOXING GOD!!OMG OMG I JUST CAME ON MYSELF OMG OMG!! I hate to say it but you are right. Cotto is not getting the credit that pacman will get for the win. People say I whine but if pacman loses, puerto rico/USA better get its military ready for invasions. pACMAN FANS WILL GOOOOOOO CRAZY. For me if cotto loses i'll still be pushing him for future fights, especially mosley/margarito rematch.
all i gotta say is if that first straight left buckles Cotto, it's gonna get ugly...if Cotto fails to earn PAC's respect early, its gonna be a beatdown I think if cotto's punches do not buckle/hurt pacman, cotto's in for a long....really short time...lol
Pacman is a very good boxer and will be remembered as an ATG. He has beaten fighters at the lightweight/featherweight division as Willie Pep dominated his time and Salvador Sanchez. I give Pacman much props, just feel that he is fighting a different beast. If he beats Cotto I give him even MORE props. Pacman will be fighting a boxer who has speed, jab, power and a very good chin and showed heart in the clottey fight. Should be an interesting fight.
thats the thing i wanna see. if pac can take a punch from a legit welter :cool2:
He'll be fine, he aint been hurt since he was a kid. He can take a shot, a lot of people will be surprised on NOV 14.
I'm feeling Cotto on this...if he brings the type of skills he brought to the Margarito fight then shit yeah, he has it in the bag.
What are the betting odds on this at the moment? In England preferably, although I imagine they will be similar to anywhere else...(unless the bookies in Manchester, in which case pacman will be clear favourite...to save face and all)
All i know is if i cant score some regualr 150.00 tickets the minute they go on sale..im gonna fork over the 300.00 to see this live..once in a lifetime fight..and in vegas..thats what its all about baby!
i feel envy cause youre watching it live. as for me, ill watch it on the big screen, PI theathres :cool2:
All comes down to Pac's ability to take a punch from a good WW if he can he wins
