Rarely can I recall a fight where when thinking about how it will play out, the opposite ends of the spectrum both feel entirely plausible.
It wouldn't shock me that much if Cotto just couldn't catch Pac and Pac scored an accumulation stoppage.
It also wouldn't shock me if the size and strengh difference was indeed too much and Cotto just walked Pac down and really punished him.
Those are the two most extreme cases of the possible outcomes, yet both seem entirely plausible. I feel like that's extremely rare.
This fight is so far away though. I absolutely cannot wait... This is going to be huge! The numbers for this fight are going to be absolutely ridiculous! But to the OP, what you say is absolutely true and to me, its a 50/50 deal. Once that bell rings, it'll be them speaking for themselves instead of all the opinions from everyone else...
Nope. you only say that because obviously you are a mayweather fan and 2 you need to hype JMM because he is fighting FLoyd.
Nope, its my opinion, thats like me saying you only think Cotto will beat Pac because you hang on his nuts all day
If you weren't so biased you'd realise that JMM and Floyd have the perfect styles to beat Pac, i genuinely see Pac knocking Cotto out
Here's hoping for a great fight, regardless of the winner
Cotto needs a good trainer with experince to design a strategy for this expecific fight. Some don't respect PAC, I do. I know Cotto is not going for a walk in the park like some nuthuggers claim.
Cotto got what it takes to finish this fight with a KO before round 6. After that, PAC will beat Cotto to the punch and if PAC got the bad ass punch he has shown to have, Cotto may be getting the surprise of a lifetime.
I want to Cotto to win, but I am not biased, and much less blind. PAC is quick enough to connect Cotto constantly. The left forehead cut will open up, and PaC might as well party his way to a UD. PaC is not Clottey, PaC can remain active for 15 rounds. Pac will target his right punch all night long... :twak:
This thread is so true, I quoted myself from another thread. I don't got a choice right now. I am very confident and at the same time I am confused. Being Boricua may cloud my mind, but I do see this fight to be very well matched. Hard to call a winner. Anything can happen, endless posibilities. Totally intriguing... :boxing:

Nah he proably says that because Floyd does everything better and faster than the guy who gave Paq his closet fights to date and to some 2 losses.
The truth is there is no such thing as a sure winner and/or loser on this fight. It will come down to who's better prepared to put out their A game and of course a stoke of luck will play a big factor on winning this fight.
Kudos for both fighters and hope will witness a great fight!!!
The last time PAC fought a guy that can really box he went through hell to win a SD that a lot of people thought he lost.
Hey junior, put COTTO in that statement and it may be slightly true.
& everything in between is what makes this fight extremely intriguing. if u really think about this fight rationally & not through philippine & puerto rican goggles, its a 50/50 fight. I favor pac just slightly.
pac fans have gone way overboard w/ their predictions. im a pac fan myself but to say cotto is a very very live dog would be an understatement IMO. i can understand rican fans frustrations, i do feel cotto has been somewhat sold short after the clottey fight.
cotto can hurt manny in any round, as oppose to pac who might have to accumulate his punishment to score a tko/ko.
Honestly, as a Cotto fan for years, I feel like Cotto can accumulate the punishment as well, especially to the body. However, after watching the Hatton-Pac fight, I'd say it's possible for Manny to hurt Cotto in any round as well. Although I do think it would be much more difficult because Cotto doesn't charge in with his hands down in florida.
It really can go either way. LET'S GO COTTO!!!
I've said it before and i'll say it again, Floyd and JMM are the only fighters i can see beating Pac
I respect Cotto for the great champion he is but Pac is too much for him, he's going to be moving back late in the fight and i see Pac finishing him, thats where the stamina and counterpunching skills of Floyd and JMM come into play and Cotto doesn't possess them in the same quality IMO
This one will be a war for about 10 rounds though
I think the longer the fight goes the more it goes into cottos favor. I know paq has great stamina but cottos power will take it toll on paq as the fight progresses and more punches are landed. It will definatley affect his speed and thats pacs best asset in this fight.

You're right homey. IMO, it's 1 or the other. Pac is too quick to be touched by Cotto and owns him, or Cotto is just too damn big and KO's him.
A lot of the Pac dominating/early KOing cotto comes from the tidal wave of hype hes riding. I think if cotto never lost to margarito this fight proably never happens. Roach/Pac are banking on Cotto being damaged goods.
everybody knew what was gonna happen with that one. no need to be modest.
The mystery of Pac v Hatton was if Pac vs DLH was a fluke.A lot of people still had thier question regarding Pac at jww/ww.

Too true...no1 really knows how this is gonna play out...is abit like hatton vs pac...no1 knew wht wld happen..sept now pac is fighting a prime WW opponent..
I cant see how Pac can be favored against Cotto. Im not taking anything from pac but who has he fought with the versatility, size and power of Cotto? Cotto has seen arguably more speed and power than Pac from fighters like Mosley and Judah. I dont think Pac can say the same. Also not he hasnt really tested him self at this weight but against a fighter in his prime like cotto. He has a good chance but for him to be the favorite puzzles me.
