anyone else was really hoping that jones could have finished him off in that 1st round? I was really hoping for it but I guess it wasn't meant to be, but i remember stewart saying joe might not make it out of the round unlike the bernard fight as he caught a good shot from jones, I wish he finished it in that 1st round how cool would that have been...

hell no, i love both guys but i wanted joe to go out undefeated. I was shocked because he was actually hurt for once but his recovery powers are/were the best in boxing.

When Joe got knocked down, I was shocked to say the least. But I knew he would make it out of the round and I knew he would win the fight - Especially when the replays revealed that it was Roy's forearm that rocked Joe on the chin.

Jones hit Calzaghe with his forearm, and Joe was fine 10 seconds later. No way could Roy have ko'd Joe. If Roy opened up, Joe would have put serious beating on him. That's why he was on the backfoot all night, shelling up against the ropes.
