How many fighters in the Past 50 years that can go out and do what Pwilliams can do

williams right now should focus on 154 and look to establish himself as the best fighter there. he should be campaigning at that weight and look to unify the titles. imo if a big fight at 147 or 160 comes along - i.e. a fight with one of the big names at a good price (60/40) then take it. right now i think 168 might be too much for him, i think he could do a job on taylor, froch and a few others but kessler, AA and greene would all be too much for him. at 175 vs dawson or jean pascal he wouldn't know what to do, but i think johnson vs williams would be a very even fight.

In the sense of giving the opportunity, can go out right now a win a major belt in 5 different weight classes? Most of the good fighters would take a few years to grow into a weight class. As of right now Pwill could easily go out and do the following UD Mosley for his WBC belt at 147 Knock out Berto for his WBA belt at 147 take any title holder at 154 UD Pavlik for his 160 WBC belt UD Froch, Bute for their titles at 168 UD chad dawson if he had the IBF at 175 What Paul needs to do is go out take the lessor % of purses and fight soley for the sake of building his name up. The Punisher beats anyone from 147-160,I think 168 may be as far as he can go,his limit!!At 174 that's a whole other ballgame,I know people don't like the Punisher,but they hate because he truly is a dangerous man between 147-160,no body else,I mean no body else could have done what he did to Winky and please don't say Quintana because Quintana isnt wasnt or ever will be half the fighter Winky is,true story!!

Ill easily put all my point on paul williams if he ever faced Froch or Bute if they ever faced. Pavlik would be a good fight and could go either way. Dawson...I mean I like the kid but he can get got. If he can get outworked by Johnson, then It's not impossible to think Paul could out hussle him. What I'm saying is if he gets scheduled against anyone from 147-175 right now he would have a great chance of beating. I cant even say hearnes (even tho he could probable take any fighter within a 3 weight class range of himself) can do that. Guys like him would take year or so to get adjusted to a new weight. Paul could easily get prepared in 8-12 weeks and take out any of these guys.

But to say he could easily do these things.......I don't think so. After 154 his natural size advantage is negated. I wish him the best of luck, but Pavlik, Dawson and and a few of the super middles will be a tall order. As far as who could have done this in the last 50 years.......Tommy Hearns.

Im not talking about working your way through divisions over the course of years. If at any point a champ within 5 weight classes called him out he has a great chance of winning.
