Seeing Salita fight live I think Khan wins easily of course, but I'm very interested if certain parties are willing to exploit the fighter's backgrounds for some hype :D
Why is the word p a k i banned, is it really that offensive? Didn't know, oh well.
As someone of Pakistani heritage, the word is as offensive to me as the N word is to Black people or the K word to Jewish people. Please BS edit the title.
As for the fight, religion and race should play no role in it. Khan is not a Muslim boxer, he is a boxer who happens to be Muslim. Ditto Dmitry is not a Jewish boxer, but a boxer who happens to be Jewish. Lets not dwell on their ethnic heritages.
That word is racist, primarily as it gets used by ignorant people and racists to generalise all pakistani's, indians, and all the other east indian nations under one term, and those nations have nothing in common aside from skin-colour.
Anyway, there is no racial tensions here.
There will be focus on the weight of history weighing on Salita's shoulders, and Khan will be out to impress an American audience.
