I mean, the fight happend in April of 08 and the dude is still hurting. Has me on ignore also  We're all sorry that Calzaghe had a hard time finding the 43 year old man and resorted to slapping just to rack up some points.
I always try convince myself why JC might be overated. And then its things like beat guys like BH in his backyard and Kessler etc bring me back down to earth.
Could JC achieved more. Probably without his bad hands but what he did achieve is unquestionable really no matter how you look at it.
Bernard only has himself to blame for losing that fight, and he did lose it. Hopkins has a tendency to think he's doing better than he is, and so do his fans. You can't simply win rounds by being the greater fighter, you have to actually win the rounds. Bernard did not press the issue and did not throw or land enough to win a decision.
By the way, I'm not a Calzaghe fan, in fact I'm one of his biggest critics.
Seriously Joe made B-Hop look silly in that fight. Bernard was just running and holding and faking lowblows. When you're a P4P elite fighter you should'nt have to do that. I know he's 43 but he's still considered P4P. P4P fighters should'nt need to pull all these tricks in the ring. I love Hopkins but he did whatever he could in that fight to prevent himself from getting stopped. Hopkins made Pavlik look foolish but not Calzaghe.
+1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
no p4p fighter should fight that way.

BHOP got beat. infact BHOP was taking straight lefts right down the pipe all night. BHOP is good, infact hes amazing to say he is 44, but hes not as good as calzaghe was, and the loss on BHOP's record shows that. im amazed hes still up there as p4p number 3 is he?
imagine if calzaghe had put on that silly show in the 10th and 11th round
he would get slaughtered on here and people wouldnt stop mentioning it
i luv the double-standards
hopkins looked silly when he put on that performance in the 10th and the 11th
cortez reffed the fight badly and let hopkins get away with a lot,and calzaghe still beat him-he overcame adversity against a very skilled fighter
whether you like it or not,its true
end of thread.
does this look like Marcos?

oh sorry sir i really don't know, who i mean is the guy in the left. what's his name?:boxing:
Nah JC beat Hopkins and even dropped him with a body shot. BH is hurting still that he lost to a welsh white boy of all people.
The history books will always say he lost to JC in his own backyard. Dont look good for BH. But he can always saviour the moment he beat Pavlik.

Remind me, who won the fight ???:bottle:
but this isn't credit people are talking about. it's who won, and it's calzaghe.
BTW i don't like both of them anyway, people just won't move on.
I have no argue with that. Im a Bhop fan but lets move on!
That's why he wont get people's credit. He has the chance to prove himself by fighting Top LHW after Hopkins and Jones. Hopkins also insisted a rematch at his advantage but instead he retires.
