The Funny Thing About JMM Is....

At least DLT started a thread about this fight , I think this board is flooded by a fight that will happen much much later. Just hoping that jmm-mayweather push through cause another postponement will be a very very big embarrassment.

This fight will exceed expectations, but JMM is a small/normal sized lightweight. Diaz tried to push back Nate Campbell, Katsidis, and other 135'ers early and couldn't or couldn't do it as easily as he did it to JMM. I disagree with everyone that says that. So what Diaz pushed him back at times? Thats his style of fighting and JMM is a counter pouncher. People make way way way too big a deal out of that. Its just like Floyd got pushed back at times by Hatton and so on. I could actually see Floyd fighting Diaz himself right now and getting pushed back. Not so much because Diaz is bigger than Floyd but because that is Diaz style of fighting and Floyd will let him do it because he knows that he can counter him at will just like JMM did. I didnt see JMM get pushed back by Casamayor so what does that mean? Its just the style of fighting. The main thing wasnt that Diaz was so much stronger as much as it was just JMM having horrible defense. Thats what made it look like Diaz was way stronger. JMM just had no D. On the flip side Diaz also has no D and because he bullies his way in, its super easy for him to get countered. Everyone needs to go back and watch Floyd vs Chavez. Its the same thing. If you watched that fight the same way you watch JMM & Diaz then you would say that Chavez bullied Floyd and was stronger but the truth is Floyd let him do that because Floyd loves to Counter and Chavez is a bull dozer. Both guys used there styles and Floyd won by KO just like JMM did. It didnt have nothing to do with size. Name 1 single guy at 140 that wouldve done that to JMM. There isnt 1 because none of them fight that way except Hatton. It was just the style of fight. Campbell & Katsidis took it better because they are both also bully type of fighters. They arent pure boxers like JMM. Its just there style but you saw what happened. Katsidis got lit up and Campbell may have gotten lit up also if it wasnt for the cut but JMM stopped him

Sweet Pea started at LW and was always a bigger guy. Youre one of those guys who always just go be height. Height means nothing. Look at Paul Williams & Mike Tyson. Its the weight and those guys both had weight to them. Sweet Pea actually weighed more than Oscar when they fought at WW

This notion that JMM is this little LW. He just KO the best 2 LW's in the world. 2 guys who will probably never be stopped by anyone else and he was going to move up to 140 anyways. Not only that but you hear the stuff about how he looks now and it just makes me think. I bet anything that JMM would beat every guy at 140 right now and again give Pac mad hell. The same Pac who everyone says would stretch Mayweather & Cotto. Again, Floyd isnt a big guy. From the reports I keep hearing about JMM and from what I saw him do at LW, Im actually starting to get more & more worried about this fight as time goes on. Its almost like Floyd is in a no win situation right now. If he kills JMM then he is a bum for picking on a supposed smaller guy but if he has mad trouble then he's also a bum even though JMM is the best or 2nd best fighter in the world and isnt much smaller thatn Floyd. I would easily pick JMM in any fight at 140 right now this side of Pac & Bradley and I would still pick him over them. I know one thing for sure, Roach saying that Pac would now KO JMM within 3 rounds is crazy. The truth is that JMM is still much closer in weight to Floyd than Pac is to Cotto wether you guys want to admit it or not. I predict that Floyd will win this fight but JMM will come back in his very next fight and beat someone like Khan, Hatton, Valero, or Bradley where he will look very strong at the weight.
