There is arguing from both sides about who has the better left hook. I think its Jones no contest personally, what do you all think?
sorry couldnt find a good lacy vid.
ive honestly never seen lacy throw a left hook. i wasnt honored to have followed his career back when he was hot
nobody has. lacy once being a good fighter is just a myth.
as for their hooks, roy in his prime obviously had a much better hook. harder, faster, more accurate and better timed than lacy. these days most fo that is gon, and if it isnt we wouldnt know since hes been gun shy even since tarver knocked him out. only throws punches from the back seat like lederman would describe it.
I'm still confused on why they call him Left Hook when when I saw him fight I didn't ever see him throw a meaningful one. That's calling someone slick yet he has been KO'd 30 times out of 40 fights.
lol couldnt agree more..

Jeff Lacy of course, why else would he be nicknamed "Left Hook"?
To be honest he never even had much of a left hook, especially now that his left shoulder was injured. His right hand was his most powerful punch in my opinion.
His right hand - especially the one to the back of the head - has always been his money punch. Pre-Calzaghe, post-Calzaghe, etc. I never understood why he was called "Left Hook." Whatever, like the fighter himself, his power was severely overrated.

Jones because he threw it with tremendous speed on top of power and I have literally seen him triple up and even throw 5 left hooks in rapid fire WITH power.
