He was dehydrated towards the end of his stay at 130, hence why he looks so much stronger now. Melting down and having only one day to rehydrate diminishes your performance, that's why people's obsession with fight night weights is unfounded.
Agreed.
He wouldn't be able to even make 130 now.
It looks like Steven Luevano doesnt lift any weights, thats like one of the first things I noticed about the guy when I saw him on the Mayweather v.s DLH undercard.
There are plenty of ways of making weight.
Wiliams the first time with Quintana didn't make it the right way and it showed in the performance.
de la Hoya with Pacquiao did the same.
If Pac would try to make 130 now he'd be dehydrated.

thats not as bad
the thread title is straight up disturbing
we are here to talk about boxing, this aint a ****ing english class. big wow if there is a few spelling mistakes.
If he's so much bigger now, why doesn't he rehydrate to more than just an extra pound in the ring? You saying he comes in dehydrated when fighting at WW?
Paul Williams same deal, came into the Winky MW fight one pound heavier than he was against Quintana the first time at WW. Stands to reason then he could still make WW if he wanted to, dontchya think?

So what?
He couldn't make 130 now cuz his body is bigger.
He walks around at 155 now,he couldn't make 130 now.

In the ring 148 against DLH, 147 against Marquez, genius.

You're right, it's entirely out of the realm of possibility that he could dehydrate that extra pound.

He had to built his body up.

Is that why he weighed a whole pound more in the ring than he did at 130?
Kelly Pavlik doesn't look like he lifts weights:

But I've seen him swinging a sledge at a tire before.

Most fighters lift...aways have...they just don't over do it.
Lifting weight can dramatically hinder flexibilty and make a fighter stiffer. If they do use weights its for shadow boxing.
Yes he does.
He lifted like crazy for de la Hoya.
