Is Roy really serious about going back to Heavyweight?
8CountNews was in the house for the "Hook City" Roy Jones vs Jeff Lacy Press Conference, at the beautiful Beau Rivage Hotel & Casino, in Biloxi, MS. 8CountNews spoke with both Roy Jones and Jeff Lacy after the Press Conference and got their thoughts on the fight, scheduled for August 15th.
Lacy was first in the room and spoke with 8CountNews, "I am going to beat him, he's on old legs" said Lacy, "I am the original left hook lacy, and on August 15th I'll show everyone." Roy Jones entered the room fully dressed in a pirates costume, with a hook over his hand. When 8CN asked Roy to explain the costume he said, "Look he's known as Jeff "Left Hook" Lacy, I have been dropping people with hooks long before anyone even heard of him. I'm the real hooker hear, the reeeeal hooker."
8CountNews asked Lacy what his key to victory would be, and what would he need to do to get the win, " I just have to beat him down, I have to pressure him all night, and just beat him down." Lacy went on to say, " He's on old legs, so I will pressure him and show him what this left hook is all about." After the Press Conference, 8CN spoke one on one with Roy Jones and asked him, what if anything did Lacy bring into the ring that got his attention? Roy responded, "Look Jeff Lacy can bang, so I am not taking his power lightly that is for sure, but come August 15th, he's going to see what Roy Jones can do in the ring."
During our one on one with Roy, he took a shot at the heavyweight division as well, "I tell you another thing, I am pretty pissed off that America doesn't have a heavyweight champion right now." In response to that 8CN asked, ' Is that a direct shot towards Russia?' Roy responded, "Call it whatever, I just know that I aint happy about American not having a heavyweight champion. I got a few more things to do first, but after that? I may just take a look at heavyweight again."
"Hook City" Roy Jones Jr vs Jeff Lacy will be on PPV on August 15th, from the beautiful Beau Rivage Hotel & Casino, in Biloxi, MS.

First the pirate outfit, then hinting at going to Heavyweight to try to get a belt?
Somebody needs to stage an intervention here....that's all I'm saying.
