being a very good fight to watch. I see a very good BOXING match with them against each other. Both have a nice skill set, and i am thinking it could be great to watch. What are your thoughts?
In all honesty I don't think he'll be in front at any point in the bout. I really like Taylor and my hopes is still up for him, but I don't think he realizes how accurate and hard Kessler punch and that his output - although no Calzaghe output - is still great.
As a reference Taylor landed a total of 213 out of 442 punches against Lacy, whereas Kessler landed 173 out of 585 in the much tougher and much more difficult fight against Calzaghe and that - I mind you - was even with a not-so-well hand.
I think it'll be a fantastic fight and I believe Taylor will be happy if he's still standing after the fight!

It depends on how Taylor fares against Abraham. If he loses he's more or less done. If he wins I think it could be the fight of the tournament.
the reason ppl doubt taylor is because of his stamina...in another thread a poster brought to view that taylor threw only 390 punches and was gassed like he finished a marathon
yeah like i said earlier,he will be in front at the halfway point what worries me is if he can hang on
i'm 80% confident on taylor losing...kessler is the sharper puncher and can box with a sense of urgency...i don't think taylor has that in him...unless he gets a new trainer and some new found motivation to be in that ring...he will be stopped in the 8th or 9th...
thats very possible but kessler is goin to knock him out sometime after 8..i said in another thread 10 so ill stick to that
thats definitely the most logical outcome and will be the most favoured, but i think taylor has a big chance of causing the upset, its a fight i will look forward to seeing, hopefully taylor survives the abraham fight so we might get to see it
kessler is a very good boxer as well...him being totally outboxed is a lil farfetched
maybe a little, but i think taylor will be clearly ahead at the halfway point
i think it will be a great fight as well, imo taylor will outbox him the first half of the fight and win just about every round to about the 6th,im just worried that he cant hang on until the end. kessler would obviously be a solid favourite and should win,
but if the odds are good i will be putting some of my hard earned on taylor.
Should be a pretty good fight but I think Kessler will win a fairly clear decision. I don't think Mikkel stops Taylor, it is more the constant pressure fighters that are likley to have the opportunity to stop JT in the mid to later rounds. Kessler is more of a calculated technician than the likes of Pavlik or Froch, he will just break Taylor down and win a clear decision. That is my take on it anyways.
I'm a Taylor fan but I favor Kessler to win the whole tournament based on him being more of a complete package than any of the other fighters.
The only real question mark for me is how well he faces adversity, because frankly we haven't had to see him deal with all that much adversity in his fights because for the most part he's been able to completely outclass his opposition.
However, there are a couple guys in this tournament that will take Kessler places he's never been before, and Taylor is one of them.
How he comes through those tests will obviously determine if he truly is the best of the 168 lbers.
Jermain Taylor is done. He was exhausted after only throwing 390 f*cking punches over 12 rounds, that's some out of shape heavyweight shit. Kessler would put it on him.
Taylor is done as a top fighter. I don't trust his chin no more, and his stamina was never good. Fun fight while it lasts, but Taylor ain't winnin it imo.
